TRUE LOVE FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: True love for God is to fear Him.

Deuteronomy 6

The word of God is the work of God.
At the time of creation, God demonstrated that His word is His work when He spoke and created existence.
Also, the word of God is His command.
God alone is the Commanding commander, and there is none like Him. Among the purpose of His command is stated in Deuteronomy 6:1-3, “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, that you may fear the LORD your God…”
The command of God is to teach all to fear Him in obedience to God.
To fear God is to love God.
The command is to teach all the fear of God by observing the word of God.
A serious student of the word of God will gain the understanding of meditating on the word to observe and do according to the word of God.
Failure to obey God is not to fear Him.
God expects all to love Him just as His word states, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:5)
Sin and sinning are rooted in disobedience.
Without a doubt, sin came to be through failure to eat one tree out of varieties of trees in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 2:16-17 records, “…the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Adam and Eve engaged in a blatant act of disobedience with no reasonable excuse but consequence.
Since the time of Adam and Eve, man continues to sin.
God wants all to love Him with all heart, souls, and all strength.
Abraham is an example of one that loved the Lord God and obeyed as was commanded by God.
Obedience to the word of God is the fear in God the creator of all.
It takes loving God with all heart to rise and depart to a strange land and not hold back.
At age seventy-five, leaving behind a comfortable environment with no child is evidence of the fear of God and obedience to the command of God. Word of God testified to the fear of Abraham in Genesis 22:12 “…Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now, I know that you fear God since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” (Genesis 22:12)
How are you serving Him with all your love?
True love for God is to have fear for God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for that your heart will retain to obey the word of God.

IGNORE WICKED DOING

FAITH CAPSULE: It will be the timing of God to expose the wicked one.

Psalm 37

Are you afraid of evildoers or envious of the workers of iniquity?
The Psalmist warns, “Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.” (Psalm 37:1)
The evidence of being fretful of the evildoers is in not resting in the promises of God, not knowing that the wickedness is not beyond God.
One that does not trust in God troubles much and no longer rests in the Lord.
Also, those who are envious of the workers of iniquity demonstrate that they are no longer resting in the Lord but rusting away.
Indeed, the wicked are here to stay until the time of God to take them away.
The same Psalm 37 gave the prescription of what it takes to ignore the wicked ones by stating, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.” (Psalm 37:3)
Let the Lord take care of His business concerning the wicked.
There is nothing that gets past the Lord without intervention from God.
The Lord God sees and knows all things that exist.
The book of Ecclesiastes 8:11-13 admonishes, “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.”
Fear God for your own and not fret because of the evil doers.
God alone knows when to execute His punishment over the wicked with the choice not to repent before God.
Jeremiah questioned, “…Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why are those happy who deal so treacherously? You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; they grow, yes, they bear fruit. You are near in their mouth but far from their mind.” (Jeremiah 12:1-2)
God does not sleep nor slumber the evidence for all to concentrate on yourself pleasing God, working the works of God rather than questioning His response to the wicked.
The honest question is, are you a wicked one?
Is the word of God near in your mouth but far from your mind?
No wickedness is excusable before God.
God will judge all the wicked ones.
Psalm 37:2 states, “…They shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.”
One will experience deception, and the world can experience lies, but God cannot look over the wickedness on earth.

Prayer for today: Ask God to touch your heart and bring you out of every way of wickedness.

DIRECTION OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Disallow comfort from clouding your commitment to God’s command.

Numbers 32

Living a life journey with comfort outside of the comfortably should not identify as a sin.
However, when one comfortably places comfort ahead of commitment to the direction of God, in the life of journey, such is set not to arrive at the center of the divine assignment.
God, in His goodness and mercy, brought the children of Israel out of the bondage of over four hundred years with a plan to settle them in the Promised Land.
It is written, “So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.” (Exodus 3:8)
God wanted to place them from bondage to abundance when he promised them a land that flows with milk and honey.
God promised to bring the Israelites out of bondage, but the children of Gad and Reuben engaged comfort in the place of commitment and decided to settle in the East of Jordan.
The Bible records that they had a great multitude of livestock, which prompted a request for a settlement in the region that was a place for livestock that was more comfortable by their understanding instead of the promise of God.
Despite their understanding of the plan of God, they attempted a choice to wander from the way of God.
Are you attempting to wander from the way of understanding gained from the word of God?
Proverbs 21:16 admonishes, “A man who wanders from the way of understanding will rest in the assembly of the dead.”
The children of Gad and the children of Reuben approached Moses and stated their desire, “…the country which the LORD defeated before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.’ Therefore they said, ‘If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Do not take us over the Jordan.’” (Numbers 32:4-5)
It is clear that where there is livestock, milk will flow, but not honey.
God promised a land flowing with milk and honey, but they attempted to settle for the comforting land of their understanding.
The land which flowed with milk was comfortable enough for them.
It is good to be comfortable but not to replace the command of God. Placing comfort above the direction of God is a direct avenue to becoming insensitive to the move of the Spirit of God.
Spiritual insensitivity will reduce and not increase a believer.
Are you operating the mind of the children of Gad and Reuben as you engage personal direction against the direction of God to the Promised Land?
Disallow comfort from clouding your commitment to God to the command of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to restore you for whatever you have lost to spiritual insensitivity.

TESTIMONIES OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Meditate on His testimonies to provoke your faith in Him.

Describing the testimony of God.
Testimony is evidence in support of the wonders of God.
Testimony is an open declaration or profession of faith.
The testimonies of God will transport a believer to a ground of transformation.
All that the children of Israel needed for their transportation through their wilderness journey was the testimonies of God to keep them from complaining against God.
The children of Israel were to travel through the wilderness to their Promised Land for eleven days, but the journey went on for forty years.
Are you experiencing a time of wandering where you are to be a wonder to your world?
A failure to keep the testimony of God is evidence of not remembering God for He has done and what He can do.
The generation that came out of Egypt did not only journey in the wilderness but wandered around until the wilderness passed them to death.
The Israelites could not step on the Promised Land.
The children of Israel did not just become wanders in the wilderness by accident.
The acts of complaints against God trapped them in the wilderness.
The act of complaining is evidence of not keeping God’s testimony.
Due to their never-ending complaining against what God was doing in their life, God responds in Numbers 14:22-23, “Because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it.”
God promised to take them to the Promised Land.
God promised to take them to the Promised Land.
While the Israelites were in Egypt, God showed them great and mighty signs, but they could not meditate to keep His testimony.
Why not constantly meditate on His testimonies?
The Psalmist identifies the blessing of God as keeping the testimonies of God.  Psalm 119:2 states, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart!”
Keeping His testimonies is setting self-up to serve God and not rebel by complaining.
Psalm 119: 24 states, “Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.”
Psalm 119:46, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.”
The testimonies of God are the things of God.
The testimonies of God are evidence of what God can do.
His testimonies are worthy of mediation.
The testimony of God is what is needed to plead for the case before God. Isaiah 45:26 states, “Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.
Do you have any testimony to remind God when presenting your case before God to gain His favor?
In your challenge, state your case by referring to what God has done and what He can do.
God is faithful to honor His word.

Prayer for today: Ask that the help of God will enable keeping His testimony constant.

YOUR VICTORY

FAITH CAPSULE: Know, and confess your victory this month.

Psalm 3

God is true to perform and performs to perfection.
There is none like God.
He is the only God that makes a way where there is no way.
Only God alone reverses the irreversible, the only God that shares His name with no other God.
He is the king of kings, the Lord of lords.
King David testifies, “The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, and the Lord sits as King forever.” (Psalm 29:10)
Jehoiachin had been in captivity for thirty-seven years when God raised his head and brought him out. (Jeremiah 52:31)
With positive confession, knowing that God is not a partial God, expect that the new month He has enabled you to see shall answer for you as a month of victory.
With faith, your portion is victory in all endeavors.
Jeremiah 52:31 records, “Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.”
God used Evil-Merodach, the king of Babylon and son of Nebuchadnezzar, to lift up the head of Jehoiachin.
God will use anyone to lift you from every challenge that is keeping your head down.
God alone is a capable God that will cause you to preside over your persecutors.
Evil-Merodach was in the hand of God to lift the head of Jehoiachin. When God remembers, He also rescues.
Having used Evil-Merodach to rescue Jehoiachin, God also made him change the garment of Jehoiachin from that of a prisoner to that of one who eats before the king all the days of his life.
God is true to perform, and He performs with perfection.
There is nothing God is incapable of doing, and His capability has no measure.
God visited Daniel in the den of hungry lions.
He caused the starved lions not to have an appetite for fresh meat.
Are you waiting on Him in prayer concerning a challenge that seems unmovable?
Continue to trust and hope in God by waiting on Him.
Concerning your challenge, it is not time to stop prayer but to top up your waiting in prayer.
God is a prayer-answering God.
Know it and make it a note in your heart that the understanding God capable of bringing the Israelites out of the bondage of over four hundred years is more than able to convert your challenge to a glorious change.
God alone is Jehovah Sharma, and He will hear to answer at the calling of His Name.
Stand in faith so that faithful God will show on your behalf.
With faith, God is pleased, and without faith, God is not.
Proverbs 16:7 buttresses, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him.”
Have faith that God is more than capable and will see you through.

Prayer for today: Ask God to send forth His help and lift your head from every challenge.
