IGNORE NEGATIVE

FAITH CAPSULE: Ignore the negative to see the positive in the promise of God over your life.

1 Samuel 13

In life, what one sees is what one becomes.
When one sees red and purposely calls it blue, it becomes self-deception.
One can deceive oneself and not succeed in the world.
Behold means to observe, look, or see.
What one observes determines what one sees.
Whatever one sees is what one receives to become of such.
See the positive in the promise of God, regardless of the challenge.
One that sees and acts based on the promise in the word of God will see positively in the place of negativity.
The children of Israel could not see the positive in the promises of going into the Promised Land.
See the positive in the promise of God over your life.
The Israelites saw no positive in the promise of God to the Promised Land.
On the journey to the Promised Land, the Egyptians drew near them, with no way of escape: “…the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptian marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.” (Exodus 14:10)
In the face of a challenge, when one looks up to God, it is the way to ignore the negative.
Do not look into negative hanging on the promise.
The Israelites view enemies as a source of fear to prompt negative feelings.
What are you beholding or looking up to?
Beholding life challenges will hold one back from moving forward in life.
As an acclaimed believer, make it a way of life to always see the positive in the Word of God that fails not.
Engage every negativity positively, and know that God is abundantly able.
Three friends (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego) of Daniel saw the testimony of God, and their faith was active in trusting in God.
When the judgment was against them, they could not look away from their God.
Daniel 3:19 records, “Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.”
The fullness of fury in the eyes of Nebuchadnezzar and his command was not enough to activate fear for the friends of Daniel.
Have you been looking much into the face of your challenges that are not beyond God?
What you need to be doing is to set your sight on the promises of God; look not to what your challenges are communicating, but behold the promise of God over your challenge and see His salvation.
Samuel commanded King Saul to wait seven days in the face of an intimidating challenge.
King Saul could not wait for the word of God but looked at the scattered world before him.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to see the positive of the promise of God over your life.

IT MATTERS

FAITH CAPSULE: It matters to see the positive in the place of the negative challenge.

OBEY TO FOLLOW

FAITH CAPSULE: With no obedience, one cannot follow God.

John 2:1-12

Obedience drives following God.
One who cannot obey the word of God cannot follow God.
Obedience to the word of God is taking a step not to despise God.
Proverbs 13:13 warns, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”
One who fears God obeys the word of God.
Obedience to the word of God will save life.
One who fears God lives with the evidence of trusting in God and what He can do.
Obeying the word of God is what marks one as following God.
Do you obey the word of God fully or partially?
There is no room for partial obedience to the word of God, but to fully obey God.
To fully obey will expose one to gain from God.
The importance of obedience is recorded in the documentation of a wedding in Cana.
John 2:1-2 states, “…there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.”
A wedding with Jesus as the guest of honor is set not to be harassed by shame of lack.
Considering having Jesus as a guest of all that marks you.
Have you invited Jesus into your marriage or your life?
Jesus was a guest at the wedding in Cana, where shame was about harassing the host.
At the wedding, to discolor the wedding when there was no more wine to serve.
At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, the mother of Jesus approached Jesus for intervention that would save the wedding celebration from shame due to a lack of wine.
Jesus responded to the calling of His mother for intervention, “…Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4)
The response of Jesus was delivered to the mother of Jesus to encourage the servants at the wedding with her response.
John 2:5 records, “His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.”
What is the Word of God that is missing in your challenges, like marriage or lifestyle, because of your disobedience?
One will search for oneself to know what He commands in His word.
Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.” (John 2:7)
The servants obeyed unquestionably.
Can you testify as one living by the word of God?
In the place of lack, engaging the command of God is the evidence of faith.
Jesus commanded the waterpots to be filled with water.
As the disciples obeyed, the wedding took a new turn from shame to fame for the glory of God.
Be obedient to the word of God.
Allow the command of the word of God to begin to rule your life.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be constantly obedient to the word of God.

PRAYER IS A KEY

FAITH CAPSULE: Prayer opens every form of closed experiencing.

2 Kings 6

Today, why not seek God prayerfully, for the opening that is closed, you know and do not know?
One thing God cannot do is: God can not fail.
Praying before God is an opener of any closed door to the glory of God.
Are you experiencing a closed door physically or spiritually?
A true believer, with prayer, shall experience heaven open.
Jesus prayed at His water baptism, and heaven opened.
Luke 3:21 records, “When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.”
At the opening of heaven, the Holy Spirit descended, and a voice answered to identify Jesus as one who pleased God.
The cry of the son of Hagar reaches God when thirsty.
God opened the eyes of Hagar to see a well in place to quench the thirst of Hagar and her son for Abraham. (Genesis 21)
God hears the prayers for heaven to open.
Elisha and his servant were surrounded by enemies, with no way for them to escape the hand of the enemy, and the servant was overwhelmed with fear. Elisha turned to prayer before God, and the servant gained sight to see the protection of God in place.
2 Kings 6:17 documents, “And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”
A prayer for opening sight to see the direction to move forward, and will avoid being a victim of the wicked world.
Prayer opens eyes, and eyes will see protection in place against fear.
Anyone with sight will not walk where there is a need to run.
With sight, one will not worry or weary where the provision is in place.
PRAY
Ask that God open your eyes to see His hand over your life in all your endeavors, so that you do not falter.
Pray that everywhere fear is militating against you, not to stand firm in the boldness in God, be ceased permanently in your life.
Ask that everywhere the lack of needs is having place in your life become ceased and not live in lack.
1 Corinthians 16:9 records, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
What you know and understand, to engage, shall answer as great and effective.
Is there an effective door that is open for you to enter and not?
What is that denying you from entering the open door for you?
Can it be that one is not able to see the open door?
PRAY
Ask that whatever stands in the way of your entering your open door shall be removed
permanently.
Ask that every effective door before you, shall not become a victim of affliction.

FOLLOW GOD FULLY

Why not follow God as a way of life?
What kind of a believer are you?
Consciously, who do you follow?
Are you following God by the mouth or by your way of life?
Do you know God to follow Him?
God creates all to live for His glory.
It is the will of God for all to exist for Him. (Revelation 4:11)
To exist for God is to follow Him.
Following God fully is seeking Him diligently.
It is not too much, nor is it too little, to follow Him more.
Why not follow God?
One with a desire to follow God is such that God shall deposit what one has desired.
Have the desire to follow God as your way of life.
To follow Him or attempt to follow Him must deny distraction.
The stage in life or profession will not be an excuse for not following God.
Jesus, who called the fishermen to follow Him.
Just as He called the fishermen, so it is that His call is for all to follow Him.
Matthew 4:18-20 documents the calling by Jesus: “And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
Are you following God, the world, or man?
It is worth it for all to search themselves and know if they are following God or not.
Many assume they are following God, but are far from God.
Answering in the name of religion is not evidence of following God.
For example, answering as a member of the church is not evidence of following God.
Answering to a title is not the meaning of following God.
What is it that one is holding to that will prevent one from following God?
Abram obediently followed the command of God.
God asked for the only son of Abram for sacrifice, and he obeyed God.
In Genesis 22:12, God responded to the obedience of Abram, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
Abraham did not withhold because he feared God.
Abram answered to obey God.
Anyone who does not hold against the command of God is following God.
Following God will lead to living for God, not a life of waste, and arriving at a divine assignment.
All should live life for the glory of God because He creates all to exist for Him.
Follow God, so as not to be a victim of the wicked world.
Through the pages of the Bible, none followed God and failed.
Following God is walking with God or walking before God.
Enoch walked with God. (Genesis 5:22)
Enoch followed God, and the Bible said, “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.” (Genesis 5:24)
Bible records that Enoch died, but God took him.
Noah walked with God, following God in his life.
Genesis 6:9 testifies, “Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations.”
Noah followed God!
Abraham walked before God. (Genesis 17:1)
Abraham did not live a life of disobedience because he believed God.
Romans 4:3, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
A true believer in God is the character of a follower of God.
Jesus called His disciples to follow Him. (Matthew 4:19)
If there is no need to walk with or before God, following Him, there will be no calling to follow Him.
There is an unfailing following of God for those who follow Him fully.
Joshua and Caleb followed God fully to arrive at the Promised Land.
God is the unchanging changer.
Live by following God and not live wasted.
There is no excuse for not following God, but painful consequences.
Caleb does not confess negatively; he knows right from wrong.
Many around Caleb experience the move of God, but do not know God in following Him.
The Israelites confessed negatively; they have demonstrated that they do not know God, evidenced by not knowing God, the character of not following God.
Joshua and Caleb followed God fully to arrive at the Promised Land.
The word of God speaks to all; it is for learning to follow.
The word of God is not a story but a secret to know and follow by dwelling and abiding in the word of God.
Pray that whatever you hold on to, not to follow God in His word (command), be separated from your life.
Avoid distraction, follow God for His direction.
Ask God to enable you to follow Him fully.
