GOD DEPOSITS

FAITH CAPSULE: If anyone desires to love God, God will deposit such with what it takes to love God.

1 John 5

Do you love God?
What does it mean for you to have love for God?
Many songs have been composed about love for God among the believers and non-believers.
Among such is the song that says, “Oh how I love Jesus 3x because He died for me.”
Have you taken some time out to search your heart if you love God?
Do you love God?
What does it mean to love God?
LOVING GOD
1 John 5:3, “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.”
Keeping the commandment of God is living by the command of God, either doing His will or being obedient to His will.
It takes sacrificial commitment to the commandment of God.
Loving God is a sacrifice.
Sacrifice is not cheap but costly.
King David once stated in 2 Samuel 24:24, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.”
King David was responding to Araunah when he offered David a free land to make a sacrifice to God.
The sacrifice was to deliver the children of Israel from death caused by the census ordered to be conducted by David.
The census violated the command of God.
The rejection of free land from Araunah was a clear demonstration of what a costly sacrifice before God should be.
Engaging in a costly sacrifice is a proven mark of love for God.
With God, there is a standard for every area of His expectation for all.
God did not just ask for love but gave all a standard of acceptable love as stated in Deuteronomy 6:5, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”
To love God is to give Him all.
Through the pages of the Bible, men and women who gave Him all were able to live a fulfilled life and accomplish great exploits to the glory of God.
Men like Abraham, Joseph, Daniel, and other giants loved God and were able to do great exploits.
The approaching of the giant in the hand of God concerning the issues of life depicts what it is to love God with all of their heart, soul, and strength.
God has not asked all that is not doable.
Are you willing to love God?
To love God should not be a word of the mouth alone, but to love is rooted in the heart.
If anyone desires to love God, God will deposit such with what it takes to love God.
Love God and have life in Him.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to love God in ways of living.
Also, pray against the spirit that causes one to cease loving God.

GOD SENT

FAITH CAPSULE: God sent His word for deliverance.

John 1

Engage the word of God, not the world.
Know to engage the word of God to disallow the world from grounding you.
The word of God is described, “For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”(Acts 4:12)
Are you engaging more of the word God or the world?
If engaging the word of God becomes a priority, getting the attention of heaven shall become the portion of such.
Living the word of God and not just quoting the word is seeking God diligently to find God.
God shall not violate His word.
He promised in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Is your time for the world overtaking your time for the word of God?
If your answer is yes, it is evident that your living life demands a readjustment.
God says His word will not return to Him void turn and engage the healing word of God more than the wicked world.
The psalmist records, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” (Psalm 107:20)
God already sent His word,
God is still sending His word to those who engage His word.
Healing, deliverance, and preservation are in the word of God.
The world does not have any better thing to offer in comparison to the word of God.
The Apostle Paul admonishes, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”
Engaging the word of God for man to be established and become untouchable in the face of the wicked world is the way to live life.
Engage the word and allow the word to build you.
It will be impossible for someone not answering the word of God to be expecting the word answering on behalf of such.
The word of God cannot fail and will not fail.
Man can make all the noise quoting the word, but a failure to put on the word as a coat (garment) will cause such to be naked and exposed to the wicked world.
Also, when the word is not sinking into the life of one, faith will not rise. Engage the word of God not to sink but to swim in the word of God so that faith will arise.
Disallow the power of this world from grounding you; take cover in the word of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be constantly engaged in the word of God.

DO NOT SLIP UP!

FAITH CAPSULE: A careless sleep over the word of God is a slipup that will expose man to untimely death.

Judges 16

Judges 16:1-2 document, “Now Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went into her. When the Gazites were told, “Samson has come here!” they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, “In the morning, when it is daylight, we will kill him.”
The word of God over the life of Samson made it impossible to be killed.
Before he was born, God sent His word through His angel that declared Samson shall be a Nazirite (not to drink wine, not to eat anything unclean, and no razor should touch his hair) from birth for the rest of his life.
Repeatedly, Samson could not become a vessel of the forces of the wicked.
Once, a lion caught up with him by surprise, but he teared it up like a young goat (Judges14:5-6)
Power demonstration in the life of Samson was uncommon because the word of God was intact in his life.
The spirit of God constantly kept and delivered Samson from trouble.
He was a mighty man of God.
He was above all that attempted to take his life because the hand of God was upon him to keep Him awake and alive.
Know to engage the delivering word of God that will keep you above or beyond any evil agenda.
One of God that delivers must be jealously secured, and there should never be a careless sleep over the word of God.
A careless sleep over the word of God is the avenue to slip up that will expose man to untimely death.
Despite all that God deposited in the life of Samson, he overthrew himself when he had a careless sleep.
Samson revealed what was to be kept secret from Delilah.
Samson should have seen the warning signs when he engaged Delilah, whose name means lustful.
Lust and temptation are combination avenues to fail before God.
Delilah, the lustful one, brought temptation to Samson in an attempt to terminate Samson before his time.
Indeed, Samson entered into a careless sleep after revealing the source of what God had deposited in his life.
Judges 16:20 records, “And she said, ‘The Philistines are upon you, Samson! So he awoke from the sleep, and said, ‘I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free! But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.’”
The sleep by Samson is a slipup, a careless sleep that made him a victim of his enemy that took victory away.
Samson had a careless sleep; the word of God vacated him, and he fell for his enemy.
Are you having a careless sleep?
Whenever one violates the word of God, such will become a candidate for the victim of an evil agenda.

Prayer for today: Ask that you will be constantly awake in the word of God for your deliverance and preservation.

PRAY TO DENY ENEMY

FAITH CAPSULE: Anyone occupying your life and not of God shall become permanently terminated.

1 Kings 18

On Mount Carmel, Elijah (an agent for God) engaged four hundred and fifty false prophets of Baal (agents of King Ahab) in a power demonstration.
In that encounter, Elijah asked the false prophets to call for their god to show power.
The god of the false prophets was a no-show despite calling for long hours.
When all attempts to call on Baal were exhausted, Elijah placed a call on the God of gods, the only God that answers by fire.
Without any delay, God answered Elijah, and a consuming fire fell.
Ahab and his entourage saw the move of God in power demonstration.
1 Kings 18:39 records, “Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”’
Just like the people on Mount Carmel saw the move of God and declared, The Lord is God, have you seen enough of the move of God in your life to begin to declare the Lord is God?
It became evident to the prophets of Baal that the God of Elijah is the Lord God, and there is none to worship but Him.
The victory for Elijah before God, Elijah declared an open war against the prophets of Baal.
1 Kings 18:40, “And Elijah said to them, ‘Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!’ So they seized them, and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.”
Where are you?
Where is your location on the ground of God?
Have you accepted Him as your only God, the Lord of lords, the eternal Creator, the One that was, that Is, and will always be?
If you can sing it out from the depth of your heart with the expectation for Him to manifest, then you are in tune with heaven and your Mount Carmel victory.
Now is the time to take a stand and ask God today that all agents of confusion, delay, and hindrances should all become seized on your behalf, just as prophets of Baal.
Pray that they shall not escape the hand of God that seized them.
Ask that all hindrances in your life shall fall as the Baal prophets went down at the Brook of Kishon.
Anyone occupying your life and not of God shall begin to experience loss in every area of their life.
In the time of calling God for your deliverance, do not the time to spare your hinderance.
With prayer, invade, raid your forces to deny their victory
Know to desire for the move of God on your behalf.
Pray a standing prayer, allow God to work on your behalf, and victory is in for you in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of strength on your prayer altar.

THE WORD OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The command of God is His word, not a suggestion but to engage.

1 Samuel 15

God alone is the Commanding commander.
The command of God is not a suggestion but must be engaged continually.
God commanded Saul through Samuel, “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. 3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:2-3)
The message was a command, not a suggestion or an idea.
God did not give a choice to Saul in His command.
Saul made a choice not to prosecute the command of God.
Saul engaged in disobedience and did not fully carry out the command of God.
Saul went as commanded, “But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.” (1 Samuel 15:9) With the command of God, there shall be no disobedience just as Saul did.
Disobedience is a failure for Saul.
The Bible recorded the response of Saul to Samuel, “…Blessed are you of the LORD! I have performed the commandment of the LORD.” (1 Samuel 15:13)
Saul disobeyed God.
The excuse Saul was to “…Spared the best and Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” (1 Samuel 15:15)
Under heaven, no excuse can prevail.
Do you have an excuse for the consequence of disobedience to the word of God?
The excuse of Saul does not go far before God, but it stopped him from going further in the hand according to the divine agenda for His life.
As a believer, all should know that no excuse is a supplement that can complement any act of disobedience to the word of God.
The best excuse documented in the pages of the Bible was of Adam when God approached him for having eaten from the Tree of Life.
Adam responded to God, “…The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” (Genesis 3:12)
The excuse of Adam was a reasonable one because he did not ask for a woman, but God made Eve for him.
However, every violation of the command of God is an avenue that complicates the journey of life.
The command of God is not to be compromised.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you not to live a life of disobedience to His word.
