DIRECTION DECORATES

FAITH CAPSULE: Declare the word of God to decorate your destiny for the glory of God.

2 Chronicles 18

Declaring the word of God is the character of those who know God.
Those who know God fear God and are conversant in the secret place of God.
A child who truly fears and dwells in the presence of His father does not take a step away from the presence of God without inquiring from the father, who knows much better.
The Psalmist states: The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. (Psalm 25:14)
To live in the fear of God is evidence of self-conduct in this wicked world, not to become a victim.
Growing in life continues from the time of birth to the time one departs from this world.
No growing child who truly fears his father takes a step away from the presence of his father without asking for permission.
Ask for permission comes with direction for taking steps or making moves that cannot fail.
When faith comes into one, fear of God resides in such.
To truly fear God testifies that one is faithful.
King Ahab requested the assistance of King Jehoshaphat in the war against Ramoth Gilead.
2 Chronicles 18:3 records, “So Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead?” And he answered him, “I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will be with you in the war.”
King Jehoshaphat wanted to support King Ahab but inquired from God before going to war.
King Jehoshaphat responded to the request of Ahab, “…Please inquire for the word of the LORD today.” (2 Chronicles 18:4)
Have you been consciously asking for direction from God in all your going?
Psalm 32:8 states, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
The word of God is not for decoration but a declaration to decorate man for a glorious destiny.
Asking God for direction can be very challenging when there is a ready-made decision about what to do before asking.
King Ahab knew what he wanted to do before King Jehoshaphat requested for inquiring God for direction.
King Ahab set up his mind to go against Ramoth Gilead without inquiring from God and was not ready to move by the word of God.
As requested by Jehoshaphat, King Ahab gathered prophets who answered his desire.
The effort of King Jehoshaphat to get go by the direction of God was frustrated by King Ahab.
Ahab had the mindset to go by his desire and not by the instruction of God to direct him.
King Ahab went to war outside of God and did not return from the war.

Prayer for the day: Ask that the spirit of God will continually answer over your endeavor.

AVOID SELF-DESTRUCTION

Faith Capsule: None engaged the Way of God and ended in destruction.

Exodus 33

Jesus is the Living Word of God that was with God in the beginning.
John 1:1-3 records, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made.”
The Word of God is God.
The Word of God is also the Way of God.
Jesus testified in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
The Way of God is the Word of God.
Take to the way of God for Him to take you beyond your expectations.
Jesus is the Word of God for every believer.
Walking the way of God allows the Word of God to take leadership.
God cannot become deceived from the beginning to now.
God cannot become mocked by anyone.
God, the Creator of all, sees the ways of every man.
Which of the ways are you going?
The Way of God is in His ways, and His ways are in His words.
God has His way, and His ways are in His words.
Any way outside the ways of God is the avenue to self-destruction.
At a point when Moses was leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land, there was a need for him to know the ways to go under the leading of God.
Moses cried to God, “Now therefore, I pray if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” (Exodus 33:13)
The way of God is deliverance, and it is preservation.
Through the bible, none engaged the Way of God and ended up in destruction.
The way of God is the presence of God.
When there is a will or desire to walk in His ways, He will guide the feet to walk in His ways.
I Samuel 2:9 buttresses, “He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked shall be silent in darkness. For by strength, no man shall prevail.”
Walking in the ways of God is not by determination; it is only by the grace of God.
Are you considering which ways you have been walking?
Take to the way of God, and God will take you beyond your expectations.
Live a life that pleases God by walking in His ways because “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” (Proverbs 16:7)
The Lord God has given Word to be encouraged by going in the ways of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to become open for the Word of God that leads in His ways.

SETTLE RIGHT WITH GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The move of Moses did not settle well with God.

Numbers 20

God is a God of order.
No one is above obeying the command of God, and the command of God is not negotiable.
Have you been commanded but yet to obey?
It does not matter who you are, but it does matter not to despise the word of God.
Simple disobedience denied Moses from getting to the Promised Land
To despise His word is to be destroyed.
Proverbs 13:13 records, “He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”
To despise the word of God is a lack of fear for God.
Moses, as great as he was in the hand of God, could not step on the Promised Land because he despised the command of God, and there was no excuse to deliver him from the consequence of his error.
Numbers 20:7-8 states, “Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.”
Moses was to respond to the request of the children of Israel for water when God commanded him to speak to the rock.
Moses did not speak as God commanded by God, but he engaged the command of God as it pleased him.
Numbers 20:11 states, “Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.”
Before he struck the rock, he called out to the children of Israel, a disobedience to the command of God for him.
The move of Moses did not settle well with God.
As a result, God responded to Moses and Aaron, “…Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” (Numbers 20:12)
A lifetime journey ended in the wilderness for Moses when he struck the rock instead of speaking as commanded by God.
Simple disobedience prevented Moses from getting to the Promised Land.
Moses pleaded before God, but God did not reverse His judgment towards Moses.
Indeed, to despise the command of God is not to fear God.
All live in the time of dispensation of grace, but it is not a reason to despise His command.
Jesus indeed paid it all for us on the Calvary.
However, the word questioned all, “…Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?”(Romans 6:1-2)
The sin of Moses was enough for all to learn not to despise the command of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from the spirit of disobedience.

MOVE FOR HIS CALLING

FAITH CAPSULE: God has a purpose for every one of His creations.

Exodus 3:1-12

When the calling of God sounds in your direction, there shall be no excuse or hiding to disregard the calling of God.
When God speaks to you, what He wants to do with you will be to introduce you to yourself and know who you are in the hand of God.
When it was time for the calling of Moses, God spoke to Moses to have a new change.
Moses knew himself to be what the Lord wanted for him to be.
At the time Moses was running from Pharaoh, at his hidden location, God located Moses for his divine assignment.
Before God, one can run from the calling of God but not possibly hide. God called to send Moses to Pharaoh, “Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:10)
Moses does not know himself as His creators know him.
Moses responded to God, “…Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11) You are thinking about who you are, not knowing that God knows you more.
In the calling by God, it is not about who you are but who God says you are by what He calls you to be.
God has a purpose for all His creations because He does not create by accident.
Once, He told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
As much as Moses tried to avoid the calling of God over his life, God made Moses realize that He would certainly be with Him.
God spoke to Moses, “So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” (Exodus 3:12)
For Joshua, it was not about who Joshua sees himself to be.
It was about whom God called Joshua to the count.
After the death of Moses, God spoke to Joshua, “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.” (Joshua 1:3)
Moving from convenience to commitment is not a cordial move.
When it is time for one to become moved, situations will force one, and God will give such a formal call of who you are and what He wants for you to be.
Moses was relocated from the palace to a place of nowhere to hide and to respond to what God called him to be.

Prayer for today: Ask God to guide you so you will not miss your divine schedule.

DEMONSTRATE FAITH

FAITH CAPSULE: Acting out the word of God is demonstrating faith.

Mark 2:1-12

Are you giving God the kind of attention that provokes the hand of God in your favor?
Act the word of God to gain His attention.
How is your action communicating your request before God?
Are you an acclaimed believer who speaks with no action?
A wise saying states, “Action speaks louder than voice.”
The story of Hannah testified to the truth that action speaks louder than voice.
Hannah was barren because the Lord closed her womb. (2 Samuel 1:5) During one of her trips to Shiloh, her action caught the attention of Eli. 1 Samuel 1:12-13“And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.”
Eli saw the action of Hannah and prayed for heaven to open the womb of Hannah.
The action of Hannah spoke loudly more than her voice while she was asking, seeking, and knocking, just as commanded in Matthew 7:7.
Action is what God weighs as testified in (2Samuel2:3)
Commanding the attention of heaven is not in how loud you communicate in prayer.
It is wrong to pray out loud.
Commanding the attention of heaven is encased in how the heart seeks and connects with God.
Hannah spoke in her heart.
Are you speaking from the mouth to rooted in the heart?
Action is the evidence of having faith.
The men who tore the rooftop where Jesus ministered in Capernaum acted their faith to provoke healing instantly.
Mark 2:1-4 records, “And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.”
A roof-tearing faith will no doubt get the attention of heaven.
The Bible records the response of Jesus, “When Jesus saw their faith; He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you” (Mark 2:5).
Undeniably, faith is what one will see because faith is an action.
Faith is acting out the word of God that entered.
The word of God is the testimony of God.
Psalm 119:2 records, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart!”
One who keeps His testimony will know to be persistent by giving God all the attention.
Give God all your attention, and He shall attend to you.

Payer for today: Ask to live a life with action that gains the attention of God.
