KNOW TO ASK

FAITH CAPSULE: Knowing to ask is praying to God without doubt.

2 Samuel 18, 19:1-20

Prayer is communicating with God.
When God says yes, it is good; when God says no, it is good.
Pray to ask from God, the giver of all things.
The word of God commands, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”(Matthew 7:7)
Praying to God is not a suggestion but a task to engage to gain the attention of God.
Jesus was so sure about the effect of obeying when He declared, “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:8-12)
Anyone who asks (prays) knows about the fact that there is a prayer-answering God.
Unfortunately, knowing about is not enough, but when one knows God, one will consistently become persistent in gaining the attention of God.
There should be the understanding of not giving up when asking from God, that does not fail to give.
Get to know the promise in the word of God shall settle to receive from God.
God is a good God that will never fail, and He will do what He says He will do.
The God who never lies testifies to the efficacy of His word, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
God commanded: you ask, and so shall be to the glory of God.
Are you asking, or are you whining?
The word of Hezekiah demonstrates that praying is like a labor room where undeniable proof becomes manifestation.
When Sennacherib staged an offensive against Hezekiah by boasting against God through his servant Rabshakeh, Hezekiah confessed, “…This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.” (2 Kings 19:3)
The strength to push for birth to come forth is a prayer, evidence of the reaction of Hezekiah.
Hezekiah prayed before the Lord God, and God answered him.
God sent Isaiah to go and say to Hezekiah, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.” (2 Kings 19:20)
Prayer demands strength, not to faint when asking from God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for strength to persevere in prayer.

GET GOD INVOLVED

FAITH CAPSULE: Get God involved in all your endeavors.

Genesis 11:1-9

It does not matter how much you take challenges before God.
God is a caring God that knows all. He is the creation of all.
God, the creation of all, spoke to Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
The word of God He said to Jeremiah speaks to all without exception.
God knows the end of all from the beginning.
When God proposes, no man can dispose of it.
What God disposes; no man can propose it.
Have you been proposing without God?
Have you taken your proposal before God to find out whether or not it is in line with Him?
A believer of God should always go to God with proposals, the evidence of trusting and hoping in God.
Get God involved!
It does not matter who you are or where you are under the heaven, none beyond the reach of God, the creator.
Genesis 11:4 states, “And they said, ‘Come let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.’” The proposed building was not the problem, but the motive behind the proposal conflicted with the Almighty God of creation.
Having been blessed with a plain land that does not have obstruction to construction, the people wanted to construct and grow beyond their boundaries.
Are you in the process of abusing the blessing of God?
Are you attempting to make yourself a name instead of having His name become glorified?
If they were Godly-minded, they would have consulted Him.
Get God involved in all your endeavors.
What are you trying to accomplish with the proposal in your heart?
Do you want to stand tall above and beyond your level?
Are you one attempting to raise your shoulder above your head?
Have you taken your challenge to God?
Nothing is wrong in proposing to grow big, but it can become wrong to move outside of God.
The proposal, however, that does not center on God is an indirect withdrawal from the only One who can make or unmake the fulfillment of the proposal.
It does not matter who you are or where you are under the heaven, none beyond the reach of God, the creator.
Prayerfully, let God know what He has already known.
He has seen the future from the past.
He is a jealous God, and He deserves all your attention so He can attend to you even more than you expected.
Take all your proposals, desires, hopes, and dreams to the Lord with a humble heart, and He will increase you.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be enabled to praise God with all your heart and glorify Him.

KNOW TO HAVE IT!

FAITH CAPSULE: With boldness and character, become a winner.

Numbers 33:1-4, Joshua 1

The combination of boldness and character is the combination that makes a believer a winner.
Boldness and character is the identity of knowing God to live by His word.
The handwork of God is around every heaven and earth.
The Psalmist states, “…for your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.” (Psalm 75:1)
The book of Proverbs also testifies, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
The above scriptural verses are enough to uphold one who constantly lives by it as one with boldness and character.
Answering as one with boldness and character should be rooted in the word of God.
One that is keeping the testimonies of God is in a position to stand as a winner.
One with boldness can know the word and keep standing on the word of God without failing.
Character in the Christ-like life marks one to live as a winner.
Boldness without the character is not possible to make a winner.
When boldness and character are intact in your persona, being victorious will never be a stranger to you in all areas of life.
The children of Israel experienced all kinds of challenges while they were in the bondage of over four hundred years.
There was a need for boldness at the time of their move out of bondage to their Promised Land.
Numbers 33:3 records, “They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians.”
They left with boldness, but there was no character to carry them through, except for Caleb and Joshua, who maintained the boldness and character of a believer.
The children of Israel left with boldness because they had just witnessed the move of the merciful hand of the deliverance of God.
They saw their slave masters of many years bury their firstborn while their firstborn were full of life.
They were glowing while their oppressors were groaning.
They were with boldness.
As they engaged in the journey of freedom, the smoke of the negative ones that joined them engaged in negative complaints against the doing of God over their life.
Complaints caused patience to subside, and their journey took a different course.
Boldness, which arises from the testimonies of what God has done and is doing, will deliver victory into life if the character is rooted in the word of God.
As a child of the Almighty God, deliverance and preservation is for you to be a winner and an overcome.
God did not deliver one and lead such into the hand of the enemy.
Know better that God meant deliverance for good.

Prayer for today: Ask God to endue you with the heart to hold on to His promises in all areas of your life.

ABOUT YOU

FAITH CAPSULE: It is your day of “good news” as you go about your desired way in the name of Jesus.

John 4:46-54

Without a doubt, believe in the power of His word.
Jesus is Lord, and the word of His mouth is power.
The Bible records about a certain nobleman, “…And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.” (John 4:46-47)
A certain nobleman heard of Jesus and sought Him for his deliverance need.
How often have you heard of Him in challenging situations and not seek Him?
Jesus was coming from where He turned water into wine.
As usual, He was in transit, terminating every terminating force in the life of people who went to Him for need.
Have you heard of Him, but you never went to Him?
Today, as you come in contact with the testimony that Jesus is Lord and the word of His mouth is power, deliverance news will track you down. This day, as you go to work, school, or journey, you will get breaking news of healing, favor, and deliverance if you believe the word of God.
The son of the nobleman was dying when he came to Jesus.
John 4:49-50 records, “The nobleman said to Him, ‘Sir, come down before my child dies!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Go your way; your son lives.’ So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.”
The nobleman set out on his way to seek healing and deliverance from untimely death for his son.
The noble came across Jesus, the way, the truth, and life.
Jesus commanded him to go his way, and he responded with obedience. When the certain nobleman responded to the word of Jesus, his expectation for the healing of his child became a manifestation.
Do you believe in the power of His word?
The same power that answered for the nobleman will answer for you this day in the name of Jesus.
As the nobleman received direction to go on his way, he believed and went without question, hesitation, or doubt.
If you believe and go on the way you have set for yourself this day, the same word still alive today will locate you for breakthrough news.
John 4:51 states, “And as he was going down, his servants met him and told him saying, ‘Your son lives!’”
One that believes will receive.
Because you have believed, you will receive your breakthrough news in the name of Jesus.
Every negative pronouncement will become news of a positive nature to the glory of God.
It is your day of “good news” as you go about your desired way in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for today: Ask for His word to sound in your direction.

GET TO KNOW HIM

FAITH CAPSULE: It is not enough to be fluent in His word if one is not in Him.

Psalm 116

Knowing about the name of Jesus is not enough to claim to know Him.
God answers to those who seek Him.
He is the same yesterday and forever.
David said, “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:4)
David was not entertaining with words, but he was gaining entrance into the court of God.
David was gaining entrance into the presence of God through praise because it is praise that grants access to His court.
Psalm 100:4 records, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” Thanksgiving will get you to the gate, and praise will get you into the court.
David wanted to get to the court when He declared praise worship for His salvation from his enemies.
Praise driven by joy, not just mouthful praise but praise from the heart, will get you to His court.
What do you call Him?
He has so many names no other god shares because He alone is the great God.
Which of His names will you call?
It is the name of God that you call that will answer for you.
If you call on Him as a God of provision, He will answer to you, and if called on Him as a God of salvation, He will not deny Himself.
The question is, do you know Him?
Romans 10:13 records, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Know His name to call on Him for salvation.
The word says whosoever calls, and whosoever could mean anyone that knows His name.
Those who know His name live by His word.
Many respond to situations calling, “Oh my God”, or say, “Oh Jez”, but do not know Him.
Many people know about His name, and some know His name.
Knowing the name of Jesus is not enough if the one who claims to know Him is not in Him.
To be known in Him is to live the word of God daily.
It is possible to live the word of God.
If the word of God were not livable, God would not have the expectation for all to live by His word.
Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7)
It is not enough to be fluent in His word if one does not abide in Him.
One that abides in Him shall become known to Him.
The grace of God is sufficient, and it will make it possible to live the word of God.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be enabled to become consistent in calling on Him alone.
