KNOW TO PRAY

FAITH CAPSULE: With understanding, pray the word of God.

In the parable of the wheat and tares, Jesus said, “The kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in His field, but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.” (Matthew 13:24-25)
How are you sleeping in this wicked world?
Wicked is identified by the word of God in Jeremiah 12:1-2 stating, “Righteous are You, O Lord when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why are those happy who deal so treacherously? You have planted them yes they have taken root; They grow, yes they bear fruit. You are near in their mouth But far from their mind.”
The wicked is very conversant in the word of God, but the heart is far from God, deep in the world.
How are you sleeping physically and spiritually?
Sleeping consciously or unconsciously can happen all.
Jesus was praying at the garden when His disciples were around Him but they all went to sleep.
In Matthew 26:45, Jesus woke them by saying, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.”
How are you sleeping physically and spiritually?
Sleeping in the place of praying is walking awake with evil.
Sleeping in the place of watching is opening for the evil to occupy.
In the parable of the wheat and tares, Jesus, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.”
PRAYER
Ask that wherever you are sleeping, consciously or unconsciously, for the enemy to occupy your life shall permanently cease not to be your potion anymore.
ABOUT GROWTH
Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, what or how is your growth?
Are you growing in the things of this world but growing in the calling of God over your life?
Stagnation is not of God but growing to the glory of God that counts to the glory of God.
Growth in the things of God is crucial not to miss at the time of judgment.
Whoever is around you, growing together with you, demands you to be vigilant and prayerfully not to become derailed.
In the parable of the wheat and tares, Jesus states, “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” (Matthew 13:30)
In the parable of wheat and tares, Jesus mentioned the issue of growth, the evidence that some Wasted growth while some are worthy of growth.
One that grows wasted is like one to become burnt, while the worth of growth is like wheat going to His barn.
PRAYER
Ask God to enable you so that you will continually grow in Him.

ANSWER HIS CALL

FAITH CAPSULE: One who answers the calling will experience the help of God.

Genesis 12

When God sends one, He will back one up.
To get going in the life journey, answering the calling of God demands to arise from your comfort zone and get into the avenue of commitment. Coming out of your comfort zone can be painful, but the end of it is always gainful.
Rising and answering to the calling of God is rooted in obedience to the glory of God.
Without a warning signal as to how answering to the calling of God will become, one who answers will experience challenges.
God called Abram out of his comfort zone from among family that he knows and understands well.
God called Abraham out of his country.
Genesis 12:1 records, “Now the LORD had said to Abram; ‘Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house to a land I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.’”
For Abram to access the blessings of God, he must accept the calling that moved him from his comfort zone.
Obedience, not partial to the direction of God, will get one to arrive at the promise of God.
Moses disobeyed the direction of God and could not step on the Promised Land.
For Joshua to lead the children of Israel and to step on the Promised Land, he obeyed to rise and cross the Jordan.
Joshua 1:2, “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them children of Israel.”
Whatever God promised is a done deal.
Anyone who refuses to answer the calling of God is the evidence of not coming out of their comfort zone.
Anyone who refuses is not going to assess the blessing of obedience.
There was a need for Abram to get out before entering into the promise of God, the experience to assess the blessings of God.
Similarly, there was a need for Joshua to arise and go for the manifestation of the promise of God.
What ties and grounds you from arising and getting into His calling for your life?
God has a plan and purpose for all His creation.
When God sends one, He will back one.
Before Joshua answered the calling, God had already completed the mission on behalf of Joshua.
Joshua 1:3, “Every place that the sole of your feet will tread upon I have given you as I said to Moses.”
What else do you need before you can answer His call?
If He has called you, get out, arise, and go.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 assures all, “He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”
One who answers the calling will experience the help of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to hear and answer to see and move in response to all His calling.

BE IN ORDER

FAITH CAPSULE: When orderliness fails, all that pertains to life is bound to fail.

2 Kings 20

God is a God of order, and His children should maintain order in every area of life.
All should gain and retain order, not to become disarray.
The order should be in physical, spiritual, and emotional engagement.
Order demands discipline to maintain consistency.
Spiritual engagement demands physical being in order.
Leviticus 6:12 is evidence of physical order to maintain spiritual assignment, “And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it, and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.”
The children of Israel could not engage in their journey to the Promised Land without engaging in order.
The Israelites started their journey according to the command of the Lord through Moses. The Bible testifies to orderliness in their journey stating, “Thus was the order of march of the children of Israel, according to their armies, when they began their journey.” (Numbers 10:28)
Without a doubt, orderliness is among the character of God.
As a child of the Most High God, created in His image, are you engaging life in an orderly manner?
After King Ahaz, Hezekiah came to power and did what was right before his God.
Hezekiah cleansed the temple and restored service the way it should be. The Bible testified of Hezekiah, “So the service of the house of the LORD was set in order.” (2 Chronicles 29:35)
With orderliness restored, joy and peace in life returned to the land.
Setting things in order often results in joy and peace.
One with the order should maintain order, not fail before God.
Hezekiah started his reign great, and 2 Chronicles 29:2 records, “…he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done.”
However, in the later part of his reign, he fell sick, and it was a sickness unto death. It is written, “In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, ‘thus says the LORD: Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’” (2 Kings 20:1)
The house of Hezekiah was not in order, and he resulted in untimely death.
God is a God of order, and His children should maintain order in every area of life.
Hezekiah turned back to God and humbled himself, and God returned to restore him to life.
Whatever belongs to you, taken away, could be the lack of orderliness.
Are you taking your Christian journey in a disorderly manner?
Allow the Spirit of God to lead, and do not attempt to lead the Spirit of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from the spirit that causes disorder in life.

ALL ATTENTION TO GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Living for the glory of God is giving God attention.

Isaiah 45

God gave His attention to all by giving His beloved son.
Give God His worthy attention and receive His desired intention.
Respond to God by living for His glory.
Revelation 4:11 informs all, “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
God deserves attention from all creation.
Jesus came for all by declaring, “…I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John10:10)
The reason for His coming is the evidence of the love of God for all.
The love of God for all is to live for the glory of God.
Living for the glory of God is to gain and retain the presence of God.
The Ten Commandments reveal how much attention God demands from His creation.
Exodus 20:3-8 records, “You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
Living for the glory of God is giving God attention.
A Jealous God demands full attention.
Isaiah 45:4-7 about His desire for us to know Him.
God is the only God to know, and there is none besides Him.
God is worthy to receive glory and honor.
In His commandment, He did not ask for too much.
God cares for His children, as He expects His children to give Him attention.
Are you giving Him attention only by mouth?
Attending to Him just by mouth is not enough, but serving Him indeed, and in truth.
Are you giving God due attention?
God spoke in Isaiah 45:9, “Woe to him who strives with his Maker…” Denying Him His due attention is striving with Him.
Give God His worthy attention to gain and retain His presence.
Knowing to give self to the word of God is giving Him attention.
Apostle Paul encourages all, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” (Acts 20:32)

Prayer for today: Ask to be delivered and be preserved from every kind of spirit that takes away one not to give God due attention.

MUST FEAR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: No one is born with the fear of God.

Psalm 34

The book of Ecclesiastes concluded, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandment, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
Nothing is better than having the fear of God reign in the life of one.
The Psalmist pointed out, “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7)
In this world of wickedness, nothing is better than having the untouchable force of protection around those who fear God.
Psalm 34:9 also states, “Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.”
Indeed, God is good, and His Word does not fail.
Do you have the kind of fear possessed as the one who fears and is living in heaven on earth?
No one is born with the fear of God.
To fear God comes when there is understanding, knowledge, and wisdom of God.
Proverbs 15:33 buttress, “The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom.”
Deuteronomy 31:12-13 records, “Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land which you cross the Jordan to possess.”
Living to fear God is not limited to a group but all people.
Also, it is not limited to a time in the history of creation.
As an acclaimed believer in the Word of God, do you have to introduce yourself as one who fears God, or does your approach to living life always introduce you as one who fears God?
To fear God is a characteristic that can not be hidden but evidence.
Do you desire the fear of God to take over your life?
All should be studying and gaining more understanding of the Lord God from the words of His mouth.
No one is born with the fear of God.
To fear God is not of determination, but with desire, one will grow to fear God.
Desire to fear God and He will deposit His fear in you.
God is faithful to deliver what He promises in one with a desire to fear God.
With desire, all should be encouraged to fear God.
Psalm 56:4 states, “In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?”
Live to fear God!

Prayer for today: Ask for the fear of the Lord God to reign and overwhelm your life.
