UNDOUBTED GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The Word of God is Eternal, Everlasting, Undying, and Unending.

Hebrews 4

The presence of God is His word.
The word of God is God.
Recognition of the Word of God is written in John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Recognition of the word of God is not relevant to doubt, but it is clear that the word of God is God.
The Word of God is Eternal, Everlasting, Undying, and Unending.
The more any man hears the word of God through His voice or in the pages of the Bible with attention, the more one should get to know and understand the will and purpose of living for God.
In this wicked world, the glaring will and purpose of God for all is His promise.
The promise of God is His rest for all.
The rest of God for all is in His word.
Moses, in His journey, asked God for His way, and God responded in His word saying, “…My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)
Obviously, the word of God is His way; His way is His presence, which gives rest.
The promise of God for man is His rest.
Hebrews 4 documents the promise of God that is in place for all to gain entrance to His rest. (Hebrews 4:1)
Without doubt, the promise of God, which is rest, has been missed by some in the days of the Bible. The reason for falling short of the promise of God states, “…the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.”
Just as it was in the Bible days and among believers of today, to hear the word and not profit is the evidence of not mixing what is heard with faith. Mixing faith and being profitable is by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Hearing by hearing is the continuous, consistent way to bring the word alive in life to be in the promise of God, which is rest.
Whatever you have heard from God, add faith to it (faith is to hear by the word of God)
One who turned to hearing, hearing, and hearing by the word of God will enter the promise of God, the rest of God.
Manifestly, the word of God is alive; the word of God is the power of God. One who obeys and does not live disobediently to the word of God will enter the rest of God.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace not to miss His presence on all the days He has given you under heaven.

HIS DIRECTION IS HIS WORD

Acts 9, Mark 11:1-11

FAITH CAPSULE:  Answering the directions of God for all must be done unfailingly.

The direction of God is His word, a live wire not to be a victim in all areas of life.
Think, what withholds you from responding to the calling of God?
Abraham did not withhold himself from responding to the calling of God for the sacrifice of his only son.
God responded to the obedience of Abraham, sending His Angel, stating, ” And He said, ‘Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” (Genesis 22:12)
Deep in his heart, Abraham had obeyed God, sacrificing his son before it happened in the physical.
Before God, obedience to His direction counts for the glory of God.
Abraham obeyed God.
What is holding you down from answering the calling of God upon your life?
Acts 9, Mark 11:1-11
Jesus commanded His disciples in Mark 11:2-3, “Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it. And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here.” (Mark 11:2-3)
Jesus saw a colt in a position.
However, the colt was tied so as not to be available for the use of Jesus.
Just as the colt was tied down, not to be ridden by the glory of God, are you being tied down, not to be answered and be used by God?
Jesus needed a colt that was not tied down, a colt that was loose.
What must be in place for you to enter into your divine assignment?
Many are consciously or unconsciously tied down and not available to serve God.
Some are tied down and do not know that they are tied down while engaging in the celebration of Jesus, evidence of not being connected to Jesus.
Answering the calling of God, not being tied down, makes the difference between all the acclaimed believers of Jesus as Lord and Savior.
What is holding you down from answering the calling of God upon your life?
Have the desire for God as a way of life.
Determination is not enough to help in answering the calling of God, but the grace of God is what will get you into your divine assignment.
The word of God promises that “He will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go and He will guide you with His eye” (Psalm 32:8)
What is holding your life down from answering the calling of God?
Determination is not enough to answer the calling of God, but the desire to walk with God, gaining the mercy of God, will deposit all that it takes to answer the calling of God.

Prayer for today: Ask that God will enable you to live life for Him.

IT IS EVIDENT!

FAITH CAPSULE: It is evident that prayer is key to self-deliverance.

2 Kings 20

Let prayer be a way of life for deliverance and preservation in the face of a wicked world.
Give yourself to prayer before God.
Be engaged in prayer.
Praying before God for challenges that need to subside demands trust and hope to experience deliverance.
Prayer is to seek God diligently.
Prayer demands persistence to get a result.
Are your challenges resisting prayer continuously?
Continue praying without ceasing, and it is the way out of challenges.
For self-deliverance, prayer is an avenue to experience the visitation of God.
In the pages of the bible, it is evident that prayer is key to self-deliverance.
Hezekiah engaged in prayer to experience self-deliverance.
2 Kings 20:1 document, “In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’”
Hezekiah did not seek deliverance from anyone but engaged in prayer before God for his self-deliverance from sudden death.
Hezekiah reminded God about his walk and loyal heart before God; he wept before God.
God responded to the prayer of Hezekiah to send Isaiah “…I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the house of the Lord. And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.” (2Kings 20:5-6)
Hezekiah prayed before God to gain self-deliverance from sudden death.
Just like Hezekiah, Hannah vigorously prayed at the time of barrenness. Hannah was praying when Eli mistook her for drunkenness.
1Samuel 1:12-14 records, “ And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth. Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore, Eli thought she was drunk. So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!”
Hannah responded to Eli that she was not drunk but poured out her soul before God.
Eli answered Hannah, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.” (1 Samuel 1:17)
Hannah prayed vigorously, conceived, and bore Samuel.
Convincingly, give to praying?
Jesus demonstrated the need for prayer when He prayed for Peter from faith failure in Luke 22:32, “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail…”
Through prayer, Paul experienced self-deliverance from prison.
Paul testifies, “And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!” (2 Timothy 4:18)
Prayer is power for self-deliverance..

Prayer for today: Ask for understanding with strength, praying before God.

GAIN DIRECTION

FAITH CAPSULE: To hear is to see and gain the direction of God.

Joshua 8

When it was time for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, God sent angels for the deliverance of Lot.
Lot was urged to hurry, not to be consumed in the punishment of the city. As Lot lingered, the angels, which was the mercy of the Lord, took him out.
Lot was reluctant to escape to the assigned city of his escape. (Genesis 19:19-20)
The angel responded to Lot for his deliverance, saying, “…See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (Genesis 19:21-22)
Lot heard and was able to see in the word that delivered him from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
The wife of Lot failed to gain deliverance because she looked back at the word of God.
All should hear and see in the word (direction) of God to gain deliverance from God.
The wife of Lot became a pillar of salt because she could not see the word of God. (Genesis 19:26)
The word of God is sent for all to see and gain self-deliverance.
Word of God is the source of faith for deliverance.
The children of Israel, under the leadership of Joshua, overcame challenges with an attempt to deny their arrival at the promise of God.
Joshua 6:1 records, “Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in.”
The children of Israel needed deliverance to move through the shut-up gate.
Without doubt, gaining self-deliverance against challenge will take charge when man sees in the word of God to obey the word of God.
Joshua 6:2 records, “Then the Lord said to Joshua, ‘See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.”
Joshua heard and saw in the word of God as he took the position of self-deliverance for the Israelites on their journey to the Promised Land.
In another challenging situation, the Israelites listened.
In their listening, they were able to gain victory over the Ai people.
Joshua 8:1 Trecords, “Now the Lord said to Joshua: ‘Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai. See, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, his people, his city, and his land.”
Repeatedly, Joshua could see and hear the word of God that informed the Israelites what to do, and not to be a victim of stagnation at Jericho and in the hands of the Ai people.
Obviously, hearing and seeing in the Word of God will gain assured direction.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to see and hear in the word of God.

THE ULTIMATE GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: God is the ultimate author of deliverance.

1 Samuel 30

In the wicked world, there is deliverance in place for one who will engage the word of God.
The word declares that God sent His word to heal and deliver from self-destruction.
Psalm 107:20 records, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Give yourself to the word of God diligently to gain an unfailing deliverance.
For example, the word of God makes it known that the truth gives freedom. John 8:32 informs one that will seek to be free not to be a victim of the wicked world, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Deliverance is to gain freedom from the challenges of life.
With understanding and knowledge, seek God for deliverance.
Just as engaging the word of God for self-deliverance, individuals carrying a weapon also claim self-deliverance.
What or who are you looking up to engage for self-deliverance outside of God?
God is the ultimate author of deliverance.
It is true to abide and dwell in the word for unfailing deliverance.
King David is an example of the challenge, but he turned to the truth of God to seek deliverance.
The challenge of David was the attack from the Amalekites.
With the attack of the Amalekites, the people of David became victims of capture.
The followers of David lifted their voices and wept.
The Bible records the effect of the Amalekites,  “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” (1 Samuel 30:6)
As a result of captivity, David became a target of rejection by his followers as he became discouraged and distressed.
The challenge of David demanded deliverance as he turned to look at the hand of God.
The deliverance of David was the hand of God.
David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
His self-deliverance was the self-move to inquire of the Lord.
David sought God for his deliverance.
1 Samuel 30:8 “…David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” God responded to David, “Pursue, for you shall overtake them and without fail recover all.”  Self-deliverance of David was in the truth (word) of God that he received from his inquiry to God.
David, in times of challenge, distress, discouragement, lonely, he strengthened himself in the Lord.
Deliverance of David was assured from the word of God to go after his enemy.
Freedom resulted from asking and hearing from God.
David fought his enemy to get freedom for his people.
God is a caring God to deliver one who will abide in Him to know the truth, and He shall give deliverance (freedom) from a challenge.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the mercy of God to gain deliverance in His word.
