STAY FOCUS!

FAITH CAPSULE: Disconnect self from another god, stay focused on God.

Numbers 25

When God is not the center of the life of one, self or another god shall become the center of the life of one.
What kind of god have you joined yourself to worship as a god?
Today, be vigilant not to join any other god but focus on One and only God the creator of all.
Joining any other god besides the One and true God is, renouncing the Almighty God above all.
Joining any other god is evidence of despising God for a god that does not have life.
During the journey of Israelites to Promised Land, their stop over at Acacia Grove was the time they joined another god.
Numbers 25:1-3 records, “Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.
The children of Israel joined themselves to Baal of Peor.
The Israelites assigned themselves to another god; the commandment of God was no longer relevant to them; they began to go after a god rather than commit to God with deliverance and preservation.
Baal of Peor was the god worshiped in Moab that made the children of Israel committed to harlotry, sacrificing other gods and bowing down to gods outside of the God with an outstretched hand for their deliverance.
What or who have you joined yourself?
Consciously or unconsciously, have you entered a life that is gradually taking you outside of the way of the Only true God?
The Israelites joined to another god, a demonstration of departing away from delivering God.
To be departed from God provoked God against the Israelites.
The Bible records, “Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the LORD, out in the sun that the fierce anger of the LORD may turn away from Israel.” (Numbers 25:4)
It is true that every step outside the word with a later return for forgiveness, but the consequence remains.
Do not join another god of the world.
To join another god is jumping into pain because consequences will always come with long-lasting pain.
The consequence is the reason to remain consistent in walking in the word of God.
Do not join another god outside of the living God of creation.
Israelites joined Baal of Peor, a sin with a painful consequence that took many lives.
Numbers 25:9 states, “And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand.”
The testimony of the Israelites for joining another god is a devastating act of sin that God does not tolerate.
Disconnect yourself from another god and stay focused on God.

Prayer for today: Ask God to be the focus and not join any other god.

THE PROMISE OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: See the promise of God to trust and hope for the deliverance of God.

Exodus 14

A miracle brought the Israelites out of the bondage of over four hundred years, but they could not see the positive in the word of God to see them through to Promised Land.
In the journey of the Israelites, Pharaoh approached the Israelites with a plan to return them to where the Lord God delivered them.
Exodus 14:10 records, “And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.”
The Israelites could not see the positive in the promise of the word of God.
A failure not to see the promise of God will crowd not to trust and hope in God.
The Israelites saw the attempt of the Egyptians to return them to the bondage of Egypt.
Without a doubt, whatever anyone sees is going to have a direct effect on what they think or say.
What are you seeing in your challenge?
The Israelites saw fear, and as a result, they confessed negatively.
The Bible records their response, “Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” (Exodus 14:11-12)
The Israelites could not see right, saw wrong, confessing wrongly to end wrongly, not to claim the promise of God.
Why is it so difficult to see that God alone is in control?
The Israelites took away their eyes from God, doubted the word of God in their mind, and could not rest on the promise of God.
Are you one like the Israelites not keeping to the promise in the word of God?
Watch out, not beholding what is possible to hold one down from moving in the promise of God.
Moses realized the effect of negative confession when he said to the Israelites: “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13)
A failure of the clarity of sight prompts misjudgment that leads to a state of confusion, leads to complaints, and rebellion will gain ground in the journey of life.
Just as Moses lived through his journey meditating day and night, wise one should give to meditating on the word of God, day and night. Meditating day and night is communicating with God, the evidence of knowing that God does not leave nor forsake one.
With meditation, there will be clarity of sight.
See in the promised word of God that does not fail.

Prayer for today: Ask to see, to gain clarity in the promise of God.

ARE YOU WAVERING

FAITH CAPSULE: Know that one that wavers falters.

1 Kings 18

Do not waver to become faltered.
What happens in the place of waver?
Isaiah 21:4 testified, “My heart wavered, fearfulness frightened me; The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me.”
A wavering heart is evidence of a soul that gives to fear.
Are you one with wavering rooted in having fear instead of boldness?
Romans 4:20 identifies learning from Abraham and not being a vessel of wavering, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.”
Be a believer with faith, strengthening faith by giving glory to God.
Give attention to the word of God to know that wavering leads to faltering, falling, and not standing by the word of God.
The acclaimed believer should not be patterned to falter.
Are you claiming to follow the Lord, attending fellowship of believers but prone, or actively faltering/wavering when challenge persists?
Giving self to falter instead of having faith is evidence of not following God fully.
At the victory of the Israelites over the prophets of Baal, on Mount Carmel, Elijah asked the children of Israel, “…How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.’ but the people answered him not a word.” (1 Kings 18:21)
All failed to answer the question of Elijah because they were not faithful in following God fully.
In your challenging situation, do you falter?
God is not deceived, like a man.
1 Samuel 16:7 states, “For the Lord does not see as man see, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Do you have enough relationship with the Lord not to doubt Him to become wavering?
Is your challenging situation question your trust and hope in God?
Faltering has its root in the spirit of doubt, and doubt is a demonstration of a lack of faith.
Hebrews 11:6 records, “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
The faltered soul is not faithful, and God is not, please with one that is not faithful.
Those who diligently seek God follow Him fully to experience His reward. One that falters is not following God but serving two masters.
To fear God is evidence of serving God to know God.
Psalm 33:18 states, “…the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy.”
Get to know God, set your mind on God, and not be faltering, be steadfast on Him.
Hebrews 10:23 states, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Give self to God, be faithful, and not waver to become falter as a victim of this wicked world.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver you from a wavering spirit and not to become a faltering vessel.

PREVAIL THIS MONTH

FAITH CAPSULE: This month, wait on God to prevail.

Matthew 6

To be alive today is not by right but by the privilege of God.
Day after day, week after week, month after month is a privilege of God.
One not knowing God is worrying instead of worshiping God.
Matthew 6:25-27 speaks to all, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
As a believing believer, pay attention to the warning word of God that is against worrying, asking to be patient waiting on God.
God will not deny sincere attention to His word but always attend to such waiting on Him.
Know to be encouraged by waiting on the promise of God.
Isaiah 30:18 states, “Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore, He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are those who wait for Him.”
God is waiting for those who wait on Him.
Without any doubt, there is no record of any who waits on God and becomes wasted.
The bondage of over four hundred years of the Israelites in the land of Egypt could not deny the visitation of salvation by God over the Israelites.
As a believer of the word of God, be rest assured that this month will answer as your prevailing
month to the glory of God.
Wait on God to remember you with favor and visit you with salvation.
This prevailing month wait on God for His open hand in your direction. Bible testifies to the open hand of God.
Psalm 104:28 points out, “What You give them they gather in; You open Your hand, they are filled with good.” Psalm 145:16, “You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”
Prayerfully speak to the God-given month as a prevailing month and expect the open hand of God to fill you by satisfying your desire.
God is in control of every challenge enemy cannot be more powerful.
Know to be giving self to pray continually to experience prevailing month for the glory of God over your life.
It does not matter how long you have been waiting, but it does matter that in waiting, wait only on Him and be of good courage.
This month, with faith, expect to experience a new song to the glory of God.

Prayer for today: Ask that the grace of God shall not expire over your life.

OCTOBER 22 FAITH MAIL

TURN TO THE WORD!

This day, week, month, from this moment, turn to the word of God.
Turn more to the word of God!
To have lived this far is not because one knows how to live life but because the grace of God has brought you this far.
To be alive demands turning to God, giving Him all the glory and honor for keeping you this far.
Turn to God, and not be weary of the challenges you experience.
Are your challenges persist and resist taking long to cease?
Understand and know that not how long challenges exist, but it is how far God has brought you.
Always turn to the word of God.
God sent His word to heal, deliver, and preserve.
Psalm 107:20 testifies to God, “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Know to cue yourself in the word of God.
The word of God is not a fable is not a story to a suit for personal gain or material.
Turn to the word of God for real!
Psalm 8:4-6 records how caring to turn to God: “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.”
God is a caring God to create all for Him.
God creates all to exist for His glory and honor.
What or who are you turning to in this wicked world?
The word of God is God.
One that gives self to the word of God turns to God.
All should turn to God.
There is no reason not to turn to God.
Among reasons to turn to the word of God are:
THE WORD OF GOD DELIVERS
Genesis 19:17 records the word of deliverance for Lot and his wife, “…Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”
Lot turned to the word of God, but his wife did not turn to the word of God.
Genesis 19:26 records, “But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”
One that turns to the word of God looks to God for deliverance.
The wife of Lot turned away from God to become terminated.
RESPONSIBILITY TURN TO GOD
The limitation of the relationship with God is the evidence of the limited time spent with God.
One that studies the word of God is evidence of not turning from God.
Romans 15:4 informs all, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
Why not give yourself to studying the word of God, to know and not turn away from Him?
Turn from the world to the word of God to know the truth.
John 8:32 admonishes all, “…YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH.”
It is the responsibility of all to know God, the truth.
LISTEN TO THE WORD OF GOD
Listen to the word of God, and turn to His word.
Turning to the word of God shall lead to deliverance from shame to joyful celebration.
At the wedding at Cana of Galilee, when the celebration ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus advised the servants of Jesus “…whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5)
In every way of life, turn to the word of God by listening to Him, and testimony shall not experience shame.
Turn to God!
ASK TO BE TURNED TO GOD.
Running after a man in the place of not turning to God is not evidence of knowing God.
Get to KNOW GOD by TURNING to Jesus!
Paul points out that Jesus is for all to turn away from iniquities to Him.
Acts 3:26 records, “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”
Today, pray the prayer of the Psalmist for yourself as:
Psalm 119:37 records, “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way.”
Turn to the word of God, and give yourself to Him in His word to live life by His word.
Again, remember always that it is not how long challenges exist, but it is about how far God has brought you.
Remember, despite your inconsistency in not living life by the command of God, God remains constant and consistent, responding with His care when turned to Him.
Turn to the word of God!
Ask God that His word shall become established in your life.
