THE DIRECTION OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Watch out, do not look outside the direction of God.

1 Samuel 13

Looking away from God is taking a position away from God.
It is a wrong decision not to be in a position for God.
Life is a journey, do not take to a position outside of God, and do not become derailed or terminated not to arrive expected end-of-life journey.
Terah, the father of Abraham, looked away from God in his journey.
Genesis 11:31 records, “Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.”
Terah, the father of Abraham, must have a reason to have an engaging journey to Canaan.
However, Terah did not live to arrive at Canaan because he decided to settle in Harran, where he later died.
Why are you looking away from arriving at the expected manifestation?
Terah looked away from getting to Canaan.
God called Abraham to Canaan.
Unlike Terah, Abraham did not look away from the calling of God over his life to Canaan.
Turning away from God is not focusing on God to miss the direction of God.
The wife of Lot turned away from the direction of her journey of deliverance into a journey of self-destruction.
When it was time for God to judge Sodom and Gomorrah, He called Lot and his house out of destruction.
Genesis 19:26 records, “As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!” (Genesis 19:17) Condition for escape was not only to flee but also not to look back. However, Lot’s wife made a wrong decision to look back against the word of God and she became permanently terminated. The word recorded, “But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.”
Making a decision that seems right in the place of the direction of God is a set for self-destruction.
Proverbs 14:12 buttresses, “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.”
Let your decision be rooted in the word of God and not be a victim of self-decision.
The decision of King Saul was what seemed right to him to disobey the command of God.
Against the Philistines, Saul disobeyed not to wait for a burnt offering in response to the action of the Israelites.
1Samuel 13:6 records, “…the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets…”
Saul made a wrong decision by burnt offering against the command of God.
Saul could not wait for God and did not arrive for God.

Prayer for today: Ask to remain focused on God for His direction all the days He has given you.

THE GIFT OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The gift of God for all not to miss heaven when the trumpet sounds.

1 John 4:1-42

The gift of God for all is to inherit eternal life.
The gift of God to all is an indescribable gift!
The gift of God is yet to settle in for many to receive or believe fully accepting the gift.
The gift of God that is received, living for God is evidence of one that unwraps the gift of God.
All should understand and know the indescribable gift of God to appreciate the gift of God.
All must be meditating day and night that God wants all to inherit eternal life and not be a victim of failure, not have eternal life.
Jesus alone is the indescribable gift of God.
Jesus revealed Himself as the gift of God when a Samaritan woman had an encounter with Jesus.
John 4:10 documents, “Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
God, the giver of all good, expects all to give back to Him in appreciation. All should give back to God an unconditional love for His gift because He is a jealous God.
To love God is to fear God by doing good all through, to the glory of God. Claiming to love to fear God is living obediently to the command of God.
Apostle Paul points out that the purpose of the commandment is to love God.
1Timothy 1:5-6 records, “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk.”
Paul was talking about the love that counts before God.
Love before God is love that is worthy to provoke the attention of God to acknowledge obedient ones for His good.
Today ask yourself, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life.”
It is a crucial question to be holding all, provoking all for doing good at best and not at less before God.
Living a righteous life is a command from the word of God, doing at best before God.
The word of Jesus speaks to all, “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:20)
The scribes and Pharisees know about the word of God.
Did they live life according to the word of God?
Are you an acclaimed believer of God with the word of God in the head, with no mind occupied by the word of God, and far from God?
Live life for God, and embrace the indescribable gift of God.
Know and understand not to miss eternal life.

Prayer for today: Ask to enable living life for God and not to miss eternal life.

WITH GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: With impossibility in place, God is in a position for possibility.

Luke 9:10-17, John 2:1-11,

Invite the presence of Jesus to convert mockery to a miracle.
Matthew 19:26 records the word of Jesus, “…With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
With God, there is no impossibility.
With God, challenges of the past and the present is possible for God to convert all to the celebration.
With trust and hope in the name of God, impossibility shall become possible.
With God, all that is impossible shall answer as the possibility of God.
God is the Ancient of Days, the only God that dwells in unapproachable light and is in a position to reverse irreversible for good to the glory of God.
There is no challenge that God cannot change to the celebration.
No situation is too late for God to settle and establish for good.
With trust and hope, God alone reverses irreversible.
Ridicule was in the place to mock weddings in Cana of Galilee, but the presence of Jesus was in place to convert mockery into a miracle. At the wedding, the wine finished setting the celebration to become a mockery for the new couple.
Is it possible that your marriage is running out of oil that burns the fire of God that is the joy of marriage?
For the new couple, the presence of Jesus converted the challenge into a celebration.
At the wedding of Cana of Galilee, the mother of Jesus spoke to Jesus, “…They have no wine” (John 2:3)
The response of Jesus states, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” (John 2:4)
The mother of Jesus could not be discouraged from calling for the intervention of Jesus for a miracle to deny mockery.
In John 2:5, the mother of Jesus said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
With obedience to the direction of Jesus, there will be a way to arrive at an expected end.
With impossibility in place, God is in a position for possibility.
At the feeding of five thousand, the disciples asked for the multitude to depart because there was no possibility for provision in the desert ground.
Jesus intervened that the multitudes get fed from five loaves and two available fish.
The request seemed impossible when Jesus gave His word to His disciples in the place of about five thousand men stating, “Make them sit down in groups of fifty.” (Luke 9:14)
Obey His direction fully to experience His miracle in place of mockery.
Have you disobeyed the commands of God?
Luke 9:15 records, “And they did so, and made all sit down.”
In response to the obedience of His direction, He blessed the five loaves and two fish, and the multitude ate in abundance.
With God, nothing is impossible.

Prayer for today: Ask that you trust and hope in the word of God.

DIRECTION OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Self-assumption will lead outside of the direction of God.

Genesis 19

Every God-created day is a journey with the plan of God to keep one in His way.
The way of God is His word for all to follow through and not be wasted. Ignoring and disobeying God will set one up consciously or unconsciously outside of the plan of God.
Self-assumption is an avenue to self-destruction.
There is no reasonable excuse to disobey the plan of God for all. Proverbs 13:13 states for the wise as a warning “He who despises the word will be destroyed, but he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.”
Walking outside of God is also evidence of giving self to self assumption, not to the plan of God.
Come out of self-assumption into the plan of God that will get obedient to a divine assignment for life.
Are you a man with self-assumption or self-determination to engage in self-assignment?
The way that that seems right to one can lead to death. Proverbs 14:12 warns, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
Determination to depend on self-assumption will take one to step outside the plan of God.
A specified direction of God was His plan for the family of Lot.
Encased in the direction for Lot and his family were deliverance and preservation to keep them from destruction.
The book of Genesis 19:17 records, “So it came to pass when they had brought them outside, that he said, ‘escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.’”
The wife of Lot took to self-assumption.
Genesis 19:26 records the consequence, “But his wife looked back behind him and she became a pillar of salt.”
In her journey, she looked back against the will of God, and she could not further but wasted in life.
The wife of Lot died in disobedience.
Every determination outside of God is evidence of the spirit of disobedience in life to the will of God.
Are you finding it difficult to obey the direction of God?
Your determination will fail.
1Samuel 2:9 says that “by strength shall no man prevail.”
Ask God to give you the strength to go by His will in the life journey, not to be a failure.
Determination with desire will enable one not to fail in the will of God.
Self-determination made Peter deny Jesus three times, but the seed of prayer of Jesus was in place to deliver Peter. Luke 22:32 states, “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Avoid self-assumption and self-determination that is outside of God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the word of God to be established in your life.

LIFE JOURNEY

FAITH CAPSULE: In the life of a journey, allow the word of God to answer as the track.

Joshua 1

The living word of God is the way, the truth, and the life for all to observe.
Life is a race and calls for engaging the word to race right.
Hebrew 12:1 states, “Therefore we also since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”
In the race of life, run and possess the promise of God in the word of His grace.
Joshua received a calling not to miss in the promise of God.
Joshua 1:7 records, “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.”
Going by the word of God is the only track in the race of life not to miss the promise of God.
The word of God demands meditation and will answer as track when being observed continually.
Observing the word of God is investigating the word.
Investigating the word is not questioning but living by the truth in the word.
With no iota of doubt, it is the word of God that one investigates that will navigate one through the race of life.
Joshua 1:8 records, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
The word of God is His law.
The word of God is instruction and His command.
Those who allow their heart to keep the word of God shall have the length of days, long life, and peace. (Proverbs 6)
Those who can keep the word of God are the ones who make God their confidence.
Those who keep the word of God will know to do good when the chance calls to do good.
Those who keep the word of God do not stumble where others stumble. The word of God does not mark one or exempt one not to experience afflictions, but in the word, there is an assured promise for deliverance. (Psalm 34:19)
Above all, those who keep the word in their heart will know not to lean on self-understanding.
Proverbs 6:22 records assured track, “When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with you.”
Life is a journey.
The word of God is to continually engage as the track to gain the promise of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled not to miss the word as a track in the life journey.
