ABIDE IN THE LORD

Faith Capsule: Living life by the word of God is abiding in Him.

Psalm 91

One that stands in God abides in Jesus.
Abide is to continue in a relationship yielding with submission to God.
To abide in Jesus is demanded from acclaimed believers in God.
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” (John 8:31)
Claiming to be a believer and not abide in Him is ceremonial religion.
A failure to abide in Him is a passage to living life in darkness.
Jesus said, “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” (John 12:46)
The word of God is not a story but a secret to engaging not to live a life of waste.
Pray to abide in the word of God.
Think of it for a moment, does your way of life demonstrate the word of Jesus?
Failure to abide in Jesus is the evidence of pride which is the agent of failure.
What does it mean to abide in Jesus?
1 John 3:24, “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this, we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.”
To keep the commands of God is to love.
Galatians 5:14 admonishes all, “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Romans 13:8 also states, “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
Living life by the word of God is abiding in Him.
What happens when one does not abide in Him?
A choice not to abide in the light consciously or unconsciously is to walk in the darkness.
God is light.
John 1:1-5 records the message, “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”
Those who do not abide in Him are rebellious and do not know the ways of God to set themselves for destruction.
Job 24:13 records, “There are those who rebel against the light; they do not know its ways nor abide in its paths.”
Jesus is the wisdom from God to all that will give themselves to the word of God.
A failure to abide in Him is a passage to living life in darkness.
In John 12:46, Jesus said, “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”
It is not possible to be answering as an acclaimed believer and be full of darkness.
To be full of darkness is abiding in darkness.
Come out of the darkness of the world to settle yourself in the word of God.
It is safe to abide in the word of God, the presence of God.
Psalm 91:1 encourages, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Prayer for today: Ask not to be a victim of not abiding in the word of God.

DRESS OR READDRESS

FAITH CAPSULE: Be wise, and learn to live by looking into the word of God as a mirror.

Isaiah 40

Looking into the word of God as a mirror will dress or readdress one that makes approaching the word of God a mirror to engage life journey.
Four things to learn from looking in the word of God that will make one not live a life of waste and not become a victim of a wicked world are:
DO NOT BE STAGNATED, BE UPGRADED CONTINUALLY
Isaiah 40:31 admonishes the importance of waiting on God, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” When you observe yourself not progressing as expected, or walking instead of running, know that your upgrading is not in place. Gain in the word of God not to be stagnated as a victim of the wicked world.
The word of God is the strength of God, live life by the word of God.
AVOID COMPLAINTS BEFORE GOD
Exodus 15:23-24 records, “Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore, the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
The complaint of the Israelites against Moses was an indirect complaint toward God.
The Israelites could not count on the blessing of God that brought them out of the bondage of over four hundred years.
If one can count the blessings of God for life given by God, there should be no place for complaining about where one is or located in the journey of life.
Avoid complaints!
WAIT ON THE TIME OF GOD
Waiting on God is timeless.
Waiting for the intervention of God can take a long or short time as God permits more than expected by one waiting before God.
The waiting that takes “Mr. A” a short time before God is possible for “Mr. B” a long time to get an answer from God.
David testifies, “I waited patiently for the Lord, And He inclined to me and heard my cry.” (Psalm 40:1)
Wait on God, know that time belongs to God but not man.
Be patient when waiting on God.
KNOW TO HIDE IN THE FACE OF CHALLENGE
Claiming to be a believer does not excuse one not to HIDE in a challenging situation.
Jesus, the Lord, and savior, demonstrated a need to know to hide from challenges.
John 8:59 records, “Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. “
Once Jesus needed to hide in his depart where there was a need for Him to hide,“…These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.” (John 12:36)
Be wise, and learn to live by looking into the word of God as a mirror for dressing up not to become a victim in the wicked world.

Prayer for today: Ask for the word of God to be established in your life.

TIME IS VALUE

FAITH CAPSULE: God is true to deliver in times of troubling challenge.

Ecclesiastes 3

Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 records, “To everything, there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up.”
Time gives every engagement a meaningful approach and adds value to the steps taken in life.
Indeed, there is a time for everything in life.
Make a move at the right time not to fail but to experience the deliverance of God.
As an acclaimed believer amid challenging trouble that has destroyed the line which separates right and wrong, there is a time to act: There is a time to be quiet, and a time to speak out loud; a time to be defensive and a time to go on the offensive.
Today might be your day to go on the offensive against all troubling forces that do not represent God but evil work against your life.
Take time before God to gain and retain the presence of God, to experience His intervention.
David sought God to go on the offensive against a time of trouble in His life.
Psalm 138:7 records, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.”
Psalm 143:11, “Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.”
David could not be quiet but requested against troubling challenges of his life.
Ask God to pluck you from any company representing wickedness militating or agitating your life.
He is a living God with hands that can redeem you.
Ask that the same hand that delivered the children of Israel from the bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt shall answer for you.
Exodus 3:20 testifies the hand of God, “So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in its midst, and after that, he will let you go.”
In a challenging time, prayer is the weapon for a believer of God to go on the offensive against all troubling forces that do not represent God but evil.
God is true to deliver in times of troubling challenge.
Trust and hope in the word of God.
Psalm 34:19 testifies, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
One living by the word of God is on the right track before God as a righteous.
In the face of challenging trouble, make the right time before God that does not fail.

Prayer for today: Ask for the strength of praying in times of challenging forces shall be your portion.

DISCOURAGED?

FAITH CAPSULE: Delay will prompt discouragement.

Exodus32

The wisdom and knowledge in the word of God will grant stability to one that gives self to the word of God.
Isaiah 33:6 confirms, “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.”
Fear God and delay shall have no place to derail one.
Delay is when the expectation is late or postponed.
Delay can be painful and not be a fun time to endure.
Are you experiencing a delay in any area of life?
Delay can be discouraging with a lack of manifestation.
As a believer, understand that a delay is not a denial.
When Moses delayed his return from the mountain, the Israelites requested another leader to replace Moses.
Before Aaron, the Israelites said, “…make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” (Exodus32:1)
Before God, is your expectation experiencing delay?
The Israelites could not wait on God to experience the manifestation of expectation.
In the word of God, understand and know that waiting on God will not be wasted.
The word of God testifies the character of God towards one that waits on Him.
Isaiah 64:4 records, “For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.”
Delay, Deny, and doubt can be persistent in life to prompt discouragement in waiting for God.
Be encouraged, and God will not fail you when waiting on Him.
Meditate on the testimony of David as Psalm 40:1-3 states, “I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord.”
God is not a partial God, and He will give to your word of meditation.
Remind God concerning the works of His hand, ignore delay but be encouraged.
Do not be anxious in your waiting on God.
Your delay will turn unto deliverance if you trust and wait in the name of Jesus.
The Bible declares in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
A state of the world will generate concern but give yourself to the word of God.
Take all to God in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, and the peace of God will take over you.
Deny delay; declare all His goodness and His mercy that never expire.
From today, have faith God will not deny you!

Prayer for today: Ask that the spirit of discouragement will not have a place in you.

WHO ARE YOU?

FAITH CAPSULE: God knows all about all.

Matthew 7

What kind of man are you before God also questions what kind of a believer you are?
Psalm 1:1-2 records the kind a man should be, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2)
Does the psalmist speak to you?
God alone sees all.
The world is receivable.
God is not a God to be deceived by no one.
A man cannot be so innocent or ignorant about the kind of self in the way of living life.
Are you the kind of man that is carrying a placard, claiming that Jesus is Lord but does not have a place for Jesus as such live life?
God knows all about all.
Jesus states in Matthew 7:22-23, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Getting work done in His name for His name without walking in His ways will get no one to be recognized by Jesus when it matters the most.
What kind of man are you before God; what kind of a believer are you?
Today, question and answer yourself to identify the kind of believer you are before God.
Mark 8:27 records the question of Jesus for His disciples, “who do men say that I am” The question speaks to all.
Does your life reflect Christ?
Are you a bible that people can read?
Is the word of God rooted in you?
It is possible for a man to become decorated before the world but naked and empty before God.
Answering the title before God does not matter, but the task counts.
In life, your walk, where you sit, and what you stand will answer the question about what kind of a believer you are before God.
Do to yourself what the psalmist did to self as stated in Psalm 26:1-4, “Vindicate me, O Lord, For I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart. For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, And I have walked in Your truth. I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, Nor will I go in with hypocrites.”
The kind of life that everyone lives before God will count to gain the attention of God. It is the walk we walk that will identify us before God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to walk before God for His glory.
