SIN IS NOT OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: What kind of church are you answering before God?

1 Corinthians 3

What kind of church are you answering before God?
Is the church (temple of God) for real today or only receding from what the word of God calls for the church to be?
Bible identifies the church, “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16)
Today many answers to be for Christ (believer) with titles but not do according to the word of God.
However, sin and sinning build distance between man and God.
How far are you from God that is never far from all?
Growing in sin and sinning will be far from God.
God does not tolerate sin but withdraws God from man.
Roman 3:23 buttresses, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
To avoid living in sin is giving self to the word of God, the evidence of standing in faith before God.
Having faith is a determinant not to be living in sin but of living by the word of God that is source of having faith.
Jesus once asked in Luke 18:8, “…when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)
Are you hearing and hearing by the word of God to keep away from sin by living by faith?
Give self to the word God, come out of religion; enter into the reality of Christ to become established on a ground (a position) of receiving revelation from God.
As a believer (a Christ reality), live faithfully like Abraham.
Know that to be faithful is a sacrifice that demands commitment with not of convenience that is not costly.
To be faithful should be a lifestyle that is walking before God.
Today, the church has taken the opposite direction by turning away from the word of God to the world.
Turn away from the world of sin and turn to God.
What kind of church are you answering before God?
Are you answering as a church of God that is not rooted in the word of God?
Sin and sinning are not of God.
Proverbs 1:10 warns, “My son if sinners entice you, Do not consent.”
Proverbs 28:13 records, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
1 Peter 4:18 make it known, “Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
Sin is not of God but will hinder praying before God when there is no prayer for forgiveness and abstaining from the life of sin.
The psalmist asks for forgiveness to gain the mercy of God.
Psalm 25:18 records, “Look on my affliction and my pain, And forgive all my sins.”
Live life for God, stay away from sin, be near God, and let the mercy of God answer in your life.
Answer as the church of God, a temple where the spirit of God resides.

Prayer for today: Ask God to direct your heart not to live a life of sin.

SEE IN HIS WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: What is denying you from seeing in the word of God that does not return to God?

Deuteronomy 1

The promises of God are His word in the pages of the bible.
Know to give self to the word of God to gain and retain the presence of God.
Many believers languish not able to see and possess the promises of God.
The ability to see what God says will provoke one to strive to gain the promise in the word of God.
God, in His word, promised the Israelites a land that flows with milk and honey (Promised Land). At a point in time, during their journey from the bondage of over four hundred years, they decided to dwell too long at Horeb.
In the journey of life, dwelling too long away from the promise of God is a terminating force that will deny one from the promise of God.
For example, the dwelling of the Israelites at Horeb prompted God to send Moses to the Israelites:  “The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev, and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates. See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land…” (Deuteronomy 1:6-8)
The Israelites must have failed not to see in the promise of God and not strive to move to possess the Promised Land.
For the Israelites, doubt must have denied the seeing in the promise of God.
The doubt of the Israelites was evidence of short-sightedness which made their request for a spying mission.
In Deuteronomy 1:22, Moses testifies: “Then all of you came to me and said, “Let us send men ahead to spy out the land for us and bring back a report about the route we are to take and the towns we will come to.”
The doubt of Israelites denied them not to SEE in the word of God, as God commanded them to see.
The ability to see what God says will live life to possess His promise.
A month after months that you continue to dwell on the same ground will not take you to the promise of God.
What is denying you from seeing in the word of God that does not return to God?
It is time to ask for clarity of sight so that you may see in the word of God and be able to move and possess His promise for you.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable your seeing in His promises.

SEEK GOD!

FAITH CAPSULE: Seek God, and see Him in His word for the way of life.

John 1:1-38

To become encased in the word of God is the way to escape and not become a victim of the wicked world.
Seek God in His word to see and capture a secured future in God.
How do you effectively engage the word of God?
Begin to behold and see in the word of God as one looking into the mirror.
Behold the word of God and listen to gain an understanding to have a knowing edge in life journey.
Begin to see and receive in the word of God to trust and hope in God.
Daily, one that sees self in the word as in a mirror shall know to dress up to be wise in the word of God and not to become a victim of the wicked world.
One that sees self in the word of God shall readdress self and know not to live a life of sin.
One that sees right in the word of God shall not become wrong in all endeavors.
One that sees the word of God as a daily or moment mirror shall gain boldness and character of God to live life for the glory of God.
Trust and hope in God can be gained in the word of God.
See in the word of God as a way of life.
Make the word of God your daily routine by studying continually and not only when it is convenient.
The word of God confirms that giving self to meditating the word of God shall behold (see) the word of God to do as the word says.
Joshua 1:8 records, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. “
David and Daniel are examples one can look into the mirror of the word God that points them out for good.
Let the word of God impact your perspective of life; allow the word of God to be your mirror to see the way to a breakthrough.
See in the word of God for what you will adhere to adjust your life so that you excel for the glory of God.
Among the secret of Daniel was praying three times daily. (Daniel 6:10)
David engaged life of praying three times a day.
Psalm 55:16 records, Evening and morning, and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”
Could it be that Daniel must have adopted praying three times a day in the mirror of the word of God?
Begin to see in the word of God to secure your destiny.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable your seeing in Him.

IDENTIFIED BELIEVER?

FAITH CAPSULE: Can you identify the kind of a believer you are?

Matthew 5:1-15

What kind of a believer are you?
What is your walk like before God?
Does your character communicate your claim as a believer in God?
One walking before God is evidence of one living by the word of God.
One walking is also one working before God.
Are you a cold, hot, or lukewarm believer before God?
Revelation 3:15-16 records the word of God in response to the work of all: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
By the scriptural verse above, it is clear enough that there is no middle ground in every word of God.
As an acclaimed believer, you are either one who contributes to the earth as a preserver or one that does not contribute but takes a position of a non-preserver (destroyer).
What kind of a believer are you?
Jesus identifies that just as salt preserves food, so should believers be the salt of the earth preserving the earth.
Are you a preserving believer, a lukewarm believer, or a hot or cold believer?
A believer should be the one bringing impacting changes to the word, preserving the decaying world of sin and iniquity.
The world is changing believers because believers adapt to the wicked world but do not evangelize the world.
Believers are not to be changed by the affairs of this world.
Answering as a believer is not enough by going to church or knowing to quote the word of God fluently as a believer.
Most believers today want to be quiet in their walk with the excuse of not wanting to offend anyone with what they believe.
Think about this: How can it be that food coming out of the kitchen with salt should be tasteless?
Jesus said in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men”
A kitchen producing tasteless and unacceptable food is evidence that salt has lost its flavor.
The salt that is not effective has lost its purpose.
Such salt becomes waste and is due to be thrown away.
According to Jesus, a thrown-away salt becomes an underfoot material.
What kind of salt are you?
Are you one that is bold in quoting the word of God without Godly character to back your quotation or claim as a believer?
Believers of the word are to be salt that seasons their world with godly and acceptable contributions.
Live life as a preserving agent according to the word of God.
Live life for God to be identified as a believer of the word of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled as one living life by the word of God.

SEEKING GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness should be the reason for living life.

Colossians 3:1-17

God is the creator, the One and only God that cannot and should not be disregarded but live life for His glory.
Are you assuming to be seeking God?
Are you a believer by the mouth?
Are you searching for yourself to identify who you are before God?
Are you a believer in truth to the heart?
Believing God is not only by confessing with the mouth but seeking God diligently.
To be seeking God with diligence is the standard by God for all.
God is a jealous God while giving attention is the antidote to gaining the attention of God.
To seek God with diligence is giving attention to God.
What is it that is worth more than seeking God diligently?
Jesus admonishes, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
Seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness should be the reason for living life.
Seeking outside of God is taking a distance from the presence of God. Seeking besides God is setting self for the wicked world.
Accepting the truth of the word of God is to believe by behaving in the word of God.
Jesus identifies a challenge for believers: “But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.” (John 8:45)
Give yourself to the truth of God to put the devil to shame.
A believer with truth lives by the expectation of God.
Have you given your life to the truth of God?
In truth, seek God with all diligence. Jesus is the truth of God, John 14:6 records, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Believing God is behaving the word of God.
In this world of challenges, seek God diligently, and know to set your mind to experience the promise in God.
Paul buttresses, “If then you were raised with Christ; seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:1-2) As a believer, what you seek and set your mind on in the truth of God is what will make you up in the journey of life.
The standard of seeking and setting the mind on things above states: “…seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” (Deuteronomy 4:29)
Consider setting the mind seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
A commitment to seeking God will position man before God that all things are possible.

Prayer for today: Ask that you want to seek God with diligence in all your way of life.
