GOD MOVES BY HIS WORD

FAITH CAPSULE: The word of God is moveable to locate and to give direction.

Jeremiah 1

The living word of God is alive.
The word of God does not stagnate.
The word of God moves.
The word of God is move-able to locate whomever God chooses to give direction in the journey of life.
Have you experienced the visitation of the word of God and not known that the word of God visited you or still visiting you?
The word of God visited Abraham repeatedly.
Through the vision, the word of God came to Abraham with assurance for protection.
Genesis 15:1, “After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”
The word of God located Abraham speaking to him with the promise for him to receive where there is a need for Abraham.
Genesis 15:4 records, “And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.”
Are you with expectation for the visitation of the word of God?
When God calls attention to wrongdoing or dissatisfaction, He goes by His word.
The wrongdoing of King Saul calls for the word of God for king Saul through Samuel.
1 Samuel 15:10-11 records, “Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night.”
The word of God will locate, and no one can run or hide from God.
Jonah among many that received the calling of God when the word located him with the direction in Jonah 1:1-2, “Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.”
The word of God went to locate Jonah.
Jeremiah was located by the word of God several times for direction and to receive attention, to see in the unseeable situation.
Jeremiah testifies, “the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” (Jeremiah 1:11-12)
The living word of God does not stagnate, but the word of God moved to call Jonah for direction, to call on Jeremiah to see the unseeable situation, for him to move forward not to be a failure in the assignment of God over life.
Unquestionably, with understanding, the living word of God does not need to get permission to assess anyone as God desires to.

Prayer for today: Ask that the word of God will locate you to build you for His glory.

DISTRACTION

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?

Judges 16

Distraction is not of God but the device of the devil.
Seven things that come with distraction are:
Distraction can terminate the calling of God in the life of one.
Distraction will not announce itself to derail one with purposed agenda.
Distraction will derail or deny one with the loss of focus on God.
Distraction will assault to prevent the arrival of a man at the divine assignment of God.
Distraction can be a denial agent against a man not to walk in the Lord, to answer the calling of God.
Distraction can also be an indefinable force that will deny a man from having faith to please God.
Distraction can build up discouragement.
Samson was to be a deliverer of his people by the hand of God.
Before the birth of Samson, God sent an angel that said to his mother, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son. Now, therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:3-5) Samson, from his birth, was destined to deliver his people but, distraction led to his disobedience before God.
Samson was wrong to reveal the secret of the power of God over his life to his wife (Delilah) and made him become a victim in the hand of his enemy.
Judges 16:18-20 records the distraction of Samson in the hand of Delilah, “When Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, “Come up once more, for he has told me all his heart.” So the lords of the Philistines came up to her and brought the money in their hand. Then she lulled him to sleep on her knees, and called for a man and had him shave off the seven locks of his head. Then she began to torment him, and his strength left him. And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him.” The distraction of Samson was not his outsider but his insider, his wife.
What or who is your distraction?
The source of distraction for one not to live life for the glory of God can be from the closest ones with ignorant of evil occurrence.
Are you avoiding devices of distraction before you?
Continually, give attention to deny distraction of all forms.

Prayer for today: Ask for deliverance from any form of distraction.

ANSWERING TO WHAT?

FAITH CAPSULE: Did God call you for what you are answering?

Acts 19:11-41

Answering the title of your choice but not of God is self-deception.
Deceiving yourself or others is telling lies to manipulate the world.
It is a risky business to be answering what God did not call one in His assignment.
The Bible records the story of Apostle Paul answering the calling of God, with the title as Apostle of God, healing the sick, calling out the evil spirit in the life of many.
The Bible also records some Jewish exorcists that took it upon themselves to answer out of the calling of God. Acts 19:11-17 records, “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also, there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus, and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.”
Are you assuming a title or taking up an assignment, not of God?
The written word of God is for our learning to understand and know to navigate this wicked world, to live life for the glory of God. Learn from the story of itinerant Jewish exorcists that gave themselves to answer the title that is not the calling of God.
Are you seeking God or seeking a man with titles for God?
Are you with passion or hunger to be answering titles in the business of God but not called by God, mocking your respective world?
What is your title?
Are you self-appointed or man-appointed Apostle, Prophet, or Pastor, parading as in answer to the calling of God?
You need no man to help you to deceive yourself.
Also, you will need no man to stop you from deceiving your world.
Stop yourself from deceiving your world.
Give yourself to the given task of God in your life, not just answering to the title.
Come out of religion and give yourself to the reality of Christ.
The judgment of God is not asleep but will come at His appointed time.
Live right, engage the tasks of God, not give yourself to the assigned title to you by any man.
Your task will count before God, not your title.

Prayer for today: Ask to live life according to the calling of God.

BE REPAIRED

FAITH CAPSULE: Be repaired for God to occupy.

2 Chronicles 29:1-11

To gain and retain the presence of God is to open and be cleaned up for God to occupy, and such will live life for the glory of God.
The action to open the temple by King Hezekiah depicts what it means for all to be opened for God to occupy.
2Chronicles 29:1-3 records, “Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah. And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father David had done. In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them.”
When Hezekiah became king, the first and foremost he did was to open and repair the temple of God.
The opening and reparation of the temple of God counted for him as right doing.
Hezekiah was right in the sight of the Lord.
An open and repaired house of God is prepared and well-kept for the occupation of the presence of God.
Are you an acclaimed believer?
Are you opened, repaired, and prepared for God to occupy you?
Or, are you yet to be opened but open-able for God to gain entrance into your life?
Revelation 3:20 records what Jesus will do when you are open for Him to occupy your life, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
What is holding you not to open for God into your life?
Hezekiah opened the door and called for reparation.
Prayerfully, with desire, open up for the Lord to occupy your life.
Make it a priority to study and learn that you are the temple of God and need to be opened for God to have a place in your life.
Many assume but are not open for God and have no space, lack reparation, and are not ready for God.
Some are open for religious purposes.
Are you open to the religious purpose or for reality with Christ?
Hezekiah did not open up to play religion; he brought the qualified to work inside the temple.
2 Chronicles 29:5, “And he said to them: Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.”
Are you open to the entrance of God into your life?
If you are yet to open for Jesus to occupy you, get to know that it is time to have the door open so He can come into you, to sanctify you by His Word.

Prayer for today: Ask God to enable you to become open that He will occupy your life.

THE POWER OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: The word of God is the power of God.

Hebrews 4

What the word of God is about is identified in the Old Testament also in the New Testament.
Deuteronomy 4:2 warns, “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.”
Are you taking away or adding to the word of God?
Hebrews 4:12 introduces what the word of God is about for all, “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Give yourself to know the word of God that is magnified by God as Psalm 138:2 states, “For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.”
The word of God is the power of God over any force or any activity of darkness. Psalm 105 points out, “He sent darkness, and made it dark, and they did not rebel against His word.”
The word of God is power for healing and deliverance.
Psalm 107:20 made it known, “He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Calling on God by His word, God shall intervene.
God will not fail to send His magnified word against challenges.
Are you full of the word of God?
One that is full of the word of God will not be quiet but know to call for the magnified word of God in times of challenge.
Once, Jesus, with His disciples, had an encounter with a troubling wind and sea as He traveled on the sea.
The Bible records, “Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!” But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So, the men marveled, saying, “Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” (Matthew 8:23-27)
Jesus spoke the word to calm the troubling wind and sea.
As a believer of the word of God, in the troubling challenge, speak the word of God that delivers and preserves from evil agenda.
Listen, power belongs to the word of God to rebuke and to calm any challenge that ravages your world.
Give yourself to the word of God that will build you to give you abundant life.
The word of God speaks to all.

Prayer for today: Ask for the word of God to gain entrance into you.
