KNOW GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Know the word of God to know God.

Psalm 107

Know to turn to God.
Running after a man that answers as a great man of God is not evidence that one KNOW GOD or have TURNED to GOD.
Get to KNOW GOD by TURNING to God alone.
Paul points out that Jesus is for all to turn to, but to iniquities.
Acts 3:26 records, “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”
Today, pray the prayer of Psalmist for yourself as prayed in Psalm 119:37, “Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way.”
Turn to the word of God, give yourself to Him in word to live life by His word.
Listen to know God.
Listen to the word of God, with submission, be led by the living word of God. Turning to the word of God is listening to be delivered from shame to joyful celebration.
At the wedding at Cana of Galilee, when the celebration ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus advised the servants of Jesus saying, “…whatever He says to you, do it.” (John 2:5) In every way of life, turn to the word of God by listening to Him, and your testimony shall not experience shame.
Turn to God!
Be responsible by knowing God.
The limitation of your relationship with God is the evidence of the limited time you study the word of God. Romans 15:4 informs all, “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” Why not give yourself to studying the word of God, to know Him not knowing about Him?
Deny the world to give more of yourself to the word of God. John 8:32 admonishes all, “…YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH” It is your responsibility to know God, not your Pastor.
Know God in His deliverance for deliverance.
Genesis 19:17 records the word of deliverance for Lot and wife, “…Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”
Lot was committed to the word of God, but his wife could not be committed to the word of God.
The Bible records, “But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” (Genesis 19:26)
Are you looking away from the word of God to deliver you?
Commit yourself to the word of God or do more to become committed to God and be connected with His deliverance.
The word of God is God. (John1:1)
Knowing the word of God will know God.
Know God to be a vessel that is set for deliverance and preserved in the wicked world.
Psalm 107:20 testifies, “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Know the word of God for God.

Prayer for today: Ask that the word of God become established in your life.

BELIEVE TO RECEIVE

FAITH CAPSULE: By seeing, believing is to receive the promises of God.

Exodus 14

Inability not to believe and receive what is in the word of God is the disability to receive the promises in the word of God.
Undeniable manifestation of miracles brought the Israelites out of the bondage of over four hundred years, but they could not see deliverance in their journey to the Promised Land.
At a point in the journey, Pharaoh approached the Israelites, attempting to return Israelites to the bondage of Egypt.
Exodus 14:10 records, “And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold the Egyptians marched after them. So, they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.”
The Israelites were not able to see the promises of God in His word to deliver them.
In life, the inability to see in the promise in the word of God will provoke fear to become a victim of wicked agenda.
Inability to see promises in the word of God was the reason why Israelites saw fear at the approach of Egyptians with pursuing them with the attempt to return them to Egypt.
What a man sees outside of the word of God will have a direct effect on what man thinks, says to become of man.
The Israelites saw fear and spoke negatively.
The fear made the Israelites speak negatively to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us to bring us up out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” (Exodus 14:11-12)
The Israelites saw outside of the promise of God to see wrongly, spoke wrongly to end wrong.
In the journey of a year or the journey of life, the grace of God alone brought you this far in life.
Why is it so difficult for you to see that God alone is in control to see you further?
Think, ask to know if you have taken your eyes away from the promises in the word of God that is more than able to lead you through to your expected end?
Whatever a man behold is what a man shall eventually hold to and not become a victim of falling, failing, or faltering in the journey of life.
Moses responds to the negative confession of the Israelites when he states, “Do not be afraid. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13)
God will not leave nor forsake anyone that sees, believe to receive in the word of God to claim the promise of God.

Prayer for today: Ask that by seeing, you believe, receive the promise of God to become of you.

ABOUT IT

FAITH CAPSULE: Another about the issue of confusion.

Judges 16

The world hanging on confusion is not stable.
Confusion is not of God but the evidence of the lack of understanding of God.
To live life according to the word of God is not by force but the choice to make to avoid confusion.
Proverbs 2:11 admonishes, “Discretion will preserve you; Understanding will keep you.”
Are you making the right choice before making your move, or do you move before making the right choice?
One that gains the understanding rooted in knowledge of God is bound not to become a victim of confusion.
Isaiah 33:6 encourages, “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.”
To gain understanding is the key to seeking God, to find God and not be lost in the wicked world.
Psalm 14:2 testifies, “The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.”
Jesus rhetorically identifies the reason for the lack of understanding in John 8:43, “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.”
To hear is not listening, but hearing and hearing (continually)shall gain understanding.
To gain understanding is crucial not to become a victim of confusion.
Proverbs 4:7 counsels, “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”
In life watching, and praying is the key not to becoming a victim of confusion.
Know to pray for understanding.
It is the lack of understanding that one will work against the warning word of God, evidence of confusion.
The wife of Lot walked against the word of God, the lack of understanding the consequence of confusion.
Genesis 19:17 records the direction for the escape of the wife of Lot, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”
The wife of Lot looked back against the direction of God to experience self-destruction.
Genesis 19:26 states, “But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”
Sampson revealed the secret of the power of God over his life to become a victim of his enemies. (Judges 16:18-21)
Paul the Apostle was warned against his going to Jerusalem by the Holy Spirit, but he went on his own. (Acts 21:11)
Confusion is not with respect for no one regardless of title.
Lack of understanding is evidence of not knowing God, not disobeying God to experience confusion.
Understand that confusion is rooted in disobedience to the word of God.
PRAYER POINTS:
Ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will and spiritual understanding.
Ask God to enable you to walk worthy before Him, to be fruitful in every good work, and to increase in the knowledge of His name.
Ask that the deliverance of God be established in you not to become a victim of confusion in every endeavor, all the days He has given you.

BE BOASTFUL OF GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Boasting God is giving attention to a jealous God.

Daniel 3

It is how you trust in God that will determine how you remember to call on Him. The Bible stated in Psalm 20:7, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” The Eternal God that one has trust in is the God to remember and boast on. None can boast enough of the awesomeness of God for all His goodness.
His goodness and mercy are exceedingly beyond imagination.
Besides God, what or who is it that you know to be boastful of about?
Are you boastful of a man that one should never count?
The Psalmist testifies, “In God, we boast all day long…” (Psalm 44:8)
God is the One and only almighty God.
He is the great I AM, and He is worthy to be boastful of, continually.
Boasting God is giving attention to a jealous God.
Giving attention is the antidote for jealousy.
God is a jealous God. Exodus 20:5 testifies to the word of God, “…For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God…”
Know that boasting of God is giving Him undeniable attention to gain and retain His presence.
Boasting in God is announcing that with God, all things are possible. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego demonstrate what it means to be boastful of God.
The three friends were sentenced to a fiery burning furnace because they took their stand and did not bow for a golden image.
In life, boasting of God could provoke boldness to look in the face of any challenge to overcome.
In the face of challenge, be bold, boast of God and claim the salvation of God.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego responded to Nebuchadnezzar by boasting of their God stating, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” (Daniel 3:16-18)
Boasting God all day long will boost up one where others are grounded. Once, Goliath abused the armies of the children of Israel and their God. Goliath repeatedly demoralized the children of Israel.
David responded to Goliath by boasting in God, “…You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you…” (1 Samuel 17:45-46)
Know your God, boast in Him all day long, and He will boost you with victory over any representative of Goliath.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the boldness to be boastful of God in the face of your enemy.

UNFAILING GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Wait on God for His unfailing visitation.

1 Samuel 13

Waiting for the appointed time of God is undeniable but shall gain the full attention of God.
Have you positioned yourself in a situation of not waiting for the intervention of God?
Psalmist encourages, “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)
Know God to be waiting on Him.
God is the helper of man and a shield that does not disappoint.
Psalm 37:7 counsels, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.”
Ones that cannot rest on the promises of God cannot wait with patience to gain the attention of God.
To wait on God for His visitation demands patience.
Waiting on God will not provoke God to act outside of His word but at His appointed time.
Waiting on God is not wasting time but waiting on God that will act for those who wait on Him. (Isaiah 64:4)
Who is it that you are waiting for instead of waiting on God?
Waiting on God in endeavors can be labor when not knowing or not with understanding of the time to gain the attention of God.
God is a perfect God to visit with the expectation rooted in the waiting with desire centered on His will.
God is not a partial God that fails but God will only visit differently in different ways for ones that wait on Him.
Do you know God to wait on Him?
Many know about God but do not know God to wait on Him patiently.
King Saul is evidence of one that knows ABOUT God but does not know God to wait and live by the word of God.
At a time of battle between the Israelites and the Philistines, King Saul could not wait on the appointed time by Samuel, the prophet of God.
Saul violated the commandment of God.
Samuel asked Saul why violation of the appointed time.
The excuse of Saul was rooted in fear of the enemy that moved him in the direction not to wait.
Samuel responds to the flimsy excuse of Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you. For now, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be commander over His people because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.” (1 Samuel 13:13-14)
There is no excuse for no one not to wait on God at all times.
Saul could not wait on God but ended wasted his journey of life.

Prayer for today: Ask that you be enabled to wait on God in all endeavors.
