LIES LASTS NOT

FAITH CAPSULE: A lie of years is expose-able in a day.

2 Kings 5, Acts 5:1-11

There is no small lie or big lie.
A liar is a deceiver, a manipulator.
Have you been getting away with lying or perfecting deceiving others for so long?
Have you convinced yourself that lying and deceiving others is not of God?
Lying and deceiving can be destructive to the one telling lies as a way of life.
To be telling lies to deceive others reigns outside of the church or inside of the church. Acts 5:1-2 records, “But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
There is no indication that Ananias and Sapphira had to sell their possessions, and it was a demonstration of a voluntary move to sell their possessions.
So, why lie?
Are you a believer that will lie, fake, or deceive to get attention or to impress fellow believers?
In life, every conduct of man is not hidden from God but accountable before God.
Peter knew that Ananias and Sapphira were lying, faking, and deceiving. The Bible records, “But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?’” (Acts 5:4)
What is worth doing for the Lord is worth doing truthfully in truth.
Ananias and his wife might have engaged good intentions but lying as their garment exposed them naked and set them away from the presence of God.
The bible states in Acts 5:5, “Then Ananias hearing these words fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.”
Lying to deceive others took the life of Ananias and Sapphira.
After the healing of Naaman, Elisha refused to accept gifts from Naaman. Without any direction from Elisha, Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, deceitfully went after Naaman to tell lies, “My master sent me to say, ‘Two young men from the company of the prophets have just come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two sets of clothing.’” (2 Kings 5:22)
Gehazi accepted a gift from Naaman outside of the direction of Elisha. Elisha knew and about the action of Gehazi.
Elisha responded to the deceptiveness of Gehazi, “…was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes—or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves? Naaman’s leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants forever.” Then Gehazi went from Elisha’s presence and his skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow.” (2 Kings 5:26-27
Whenever lying and deceiving others goes unnoticed for years, it will only take one day for the truth to expose the years of telling lies.

Prayer for today: Ask God to deliver and preserve you from the spirit of lying.

YOUR STAND

FAITH CAPSULE: Are you standing on the side of God?

Psalm 73

The psalmist could not look away from the wickedness activities under heaven when was provoked with the statement in Psalm 73:3-6, “For I was envious of the boastful when I saw the prosperity of the wicked for there are no pangs in their death, but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men, nor are they plagued like other men. Therefore, pride serves as their necklace; violence covers them like a garment.” (Psalm 73:3-6)
Are you one that finds it challenging to look away from wickedness or comfortable seeing wicked activities in your vicinity?
Are you being intimated by wicked ones, by their ways of life?
Be restful and know that God is never asleep nor slumber but will separate the wicked from ones that are not wicked.
Look away from the wicked not to be envious of the wickedness activities.
The same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow will not overlook the wickedness of today.
Matthew 13:30 records what the end awaits the wicked as the tares: “Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn.’”
Where do you stand?
Are you a representative of wheat or tare by your ways of life?
Rainfall with all that contributes to growth for wheat and tares are in a position to be benefited.
Also, tares can be appearing fat and better than wheat, but the intervention time to separate wrong from right, good ones from the wicked one is at the appointed time of God.
In life, live by the word of God to be prepared for harvest time that is coming.
Wickedness is evil, and evil is sin evidence of not having fear for God.
God can be a longsuffering God with His sentence against evil work might not be at speed, but God is in control, and He sees the affairs of all.
Ecclesiastes 8:11-13 is a warning for learning to all, “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 12 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.”
A wicked can appear as growing fine and better under heaven but will not be excepted for wickedness before God.
God sees all, and at His appointed time, He shall come to judge.

Prayer for today: Ask for deliverance and not be a wicked one in all ways of life.

YOUR SEED

FAITH CAPSULE: What kind of Sower are you before God?

1John2

In the journey of life, how one takes a step will determine where such landed.
It is always where one lands that will determine how one settles in life journey.
What kind of steps are you taking?
What one gives out in life is what to get back from in life.
For example, it is how one lays bed that will sleep on it.
One that sleeps on a rough bed should expect to rise roughly from sleep.
What is your company like, and how does it reflect on you?
The company that one flocks with often testifies the character of such.
A goat that flocks with the company of pigs shall carry the identity of the pig.
God is a perfect God that oversees the affairs of man.
God is not a slave master but a saving master.
God is not the author of suffering but a longsuffering God. Psalm 86:15 identifies the character of God, “But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.”
What one sows is what such shall reap.
As close as banana and plantain look the same, it shall not be possible to sow a banana to reap plantain.
A man can deceive to manipulate the world but not possible to deceive God that sees all.
What one has sowed or what is sowing shall be reaped at the appointed time.
What seed are you sowing?
Are you sowing bad with the expectation to reap good?
Are you sowing good with the expectation to reap from good?
In all areas of life, regardless of the title outside of believers or non-believers, doing wrong in hiding will always result wrong.
Know to do right and experience right in your ways of life.
What is the seed you carry to spread or to sow in this world of wickedness?
The world of wickedness is full of telling lies to deceive and manipulate.
What kind of seed do you carry?
The seed you carry is what you possess to sow or share with your world.
In life, to sow the seed of deception with the expectation to reap the fruit of perfection is not possible.
One that sow lie will reap the fruit of being deceived.
Do not live life as a liar.
Word of God admonishes, “He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1John2:4-6)
God invests much in the life of all.
The majority extends so little in return to God by not living by the truth of God.
Telling lies as the seed you carry can last for years but, it takes just a day, a moment that truth shall expose lies.

Prayer for today: Ask to be enabled to live life by the truth of God.

KNOW ABOUT GOD?

FAITH CAPSULES: Know God to fear Him.

Jeremiah 32: 26-44

To fear God by living life by His word is the evidence of knowing God.
Knowing about God cannot possibly fear God as knowing God.
Knowing about God can be conversant, quoting, or singing the word of God but not knowing God.
Knowing about God can be living in the gathering of believers, praying out loud before God but, the way of life does not line up with the word of God evidence of not fearing God.
The title, position of one inside or outside the church is not the evidence of knowing God, not with the character of the FEAR of God.
Abraham identifies what it means when the fear for God lacks, “Because I thought, surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they will kill me…” (Genesis 20:11)
Killing can be physically, spiritually, or emotionally.
The killing of others is continual in this wicked world.
Killing is rampant among friends, colleagues, and with no exception of the families.
The killing of others is evidence of no fear for God.
Abraham states the fear of God is not in this place.
In your place, your lot, is there the existence of the fear of God?
Do you have an inn, a place with the fear of God?
To live life by the fear of God is not by making noise to demonstrate as a believer with the title in the name of God.
Knowing the word of God and living by the word of God is the identity of one with boldness (knowing the word, not knowing about it) and character (living life by the word of God).
Boldness and character are the winning combinations for one with the FEAR of God.
Do you know God (not just know about), living life by His word the evidence of having the fear for God?
In life, with a desire, be one to be fearful of God.
Exodus 15:11 expresses the fear of God, “Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
Isaiah 33:6 makes all know that God treasures when He is feared, “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure.”
Mark it, prayerfully, have the desire to live every moment of life with the FEAR of God that treasures the fear of Him.
With the fear of God, it cannot be possible to give a place to fear the world with wickedness.
God shall answer a prayer that asks to be enabled to fear Him.
Jeremiah 32:39-40 testifies to the promise of God to answer to give His fear, “then I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me.”

Prayer for today: Ask that God will give you one heart and one way to fear.
