PUT ASIDE ALL FOR GOD

FAITH CAPSULE: Answering the calling of God is to put aside self for God.

Philippians 4

Life is full of ups and downs.
In life, having content is having satisfaction.
Engage the journey of life with contentment to arrive at the center of God’s divine assignment.
In a world that screams of asking for more, it is tough to find fulfillment and satisfaction.
One with Self-discipline will be focused on God, regardless of life challenges.
Living life for God with the character of contentment will enable one to excel for the glory of God.
Moses was content with God’s divine assignment for his life.
Without contentment, Moses would not have been able to stay at Midian after he escaped for killing an Egyptian.
Contentment was a pointer for Moses to live for God, leading as a leader under God.
The leadership of Moses brought the Israelites out of the bondage of over four hundred years in Egypt to God’s Promised Land. Exodus 2:21 described Moses, “Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.”
Moses was content and disciplined not to miss the calling of God as a leader for God’s assignment.
In life, having content is having satisfaction.
To answer the calling of God should not be separated from satisfaction.
Are you answering the calling of God?
Is satisfaction your character?
Satisfaction is to have the fear of God.
Proverbs 19:23 states, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.”
Without fear of God, how would one be led?
To know God in the heart is the possibility to live in the fear of God.
One with the fear of God will live by the fear of God to lead as directed by God.
Moses led as commanded by God.
Know God to live for God, having the spirit of satisfaction, not to become a victim of evil.
Contentment is satisfaction.
The book of 1Timothy 6: 6-7 states, “Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and we can certainly carry nothing out.”
Know God to be content and be exposed to gain, answering the calling of God.
Answering the calling of God is to put aside self for God.
Philippians 4:4-7  records the identity of one with contentment that is living life in satisfaction, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Contentment encases the peace of God, rejoicing, gentleness, but rendering prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving to God in one’s life.
To be content shall not be covetous in the calling of God.
Be contented in life and serve God with steadfastness.
Have faith, give yourself to God.

Prayer for today: Pray that the spirit of contentment ride over your life.

THIS SEASON

FAITH CAPSULE: Make it a prayer point to know God more.

Luke 13:22-35

In this season, make it a prayer point to be enabled by God to know Him more.
God creates all to live for His glory, to exist for Him. (Revolutions 4:11)
Do you know God?
All should know God more.
No one should be limited in knowing God.
Seek God diligently to find Him and know Him.
Deuteronomy 4:29 states, “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”
There is no limit to knowing God.
Answering to a title does not exempt one from knowing God more.
To know God should not be only in the mouth, but in the heart.
Determination is not enough to know God more, but one with desire is bound to know God more.
Anyone with a desire will strive to know God more.
Luke 13:24 encourages, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”
Acts 24:16, “Paul says he always strives…”
Know the word of God to know God more.
One who does not know the word of God will not live for God to answer as a believer.
Upgrade knowing God to live by the word of God.
Answering as a believer is not evidence of one who lives by the word of God.
Answering as a believer and not living by the word of God is the same as claiming to be a Christian and not living as Christ-like.
Acts 11:26 made all know the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
Many know about God but do not know God.
One who does not know God has no faith to live for God.
Knowing the word of God is knowing God.
The word of God is the source of having faith
The opposite of Good faith is bad faith.
Good faith will be hearing and hearing the word of God, the source of faith, to do what is right and good before God.
Bad faith is not hearing the word of God, not living for God, but living a life of wickedness.
1 Timothy 6:12 admonishes those who will hear and take to the word of God, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Strive to have the good fight of faith, not to miss eternal life.
In the new month, week, or this day, ask God to enable you with wisdom and understanding to strive to know Him more than ever.
Be exposed to the word of God to know how to live life for the glory of God.
Why not have a desire to know God more?
Anyone assuming knowing God more is setting themselves up to become a victim of the wicked world.

Prayer for today: Pray that to live by the word of God, the character of one giving oneself to the word of God becomes your way of life.

HEARTFELT DESIRE

FAITH CAPSULE: To live for God is rooted in having a heartfelt desire to know God.

Exodus 20

Engage living in the fear of God and allow His mercy to be yours.
Living life for God is rooted in knowing God.
Desiring to live for God is not a determination, but rather a heartfelt desire to live for God.
Peter had the determination not to deny God, but determination failed him.
The prayer of Jesus was in place for Peter before he denied Jesus.
Jesus prayed for Peter, “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22:32)
The mercy of God answered for Peter, not to become a victim of failure but to live for God.
The mercy of God is the covenant-keeping God.
Mercy belongs to God, and He renders mercy unto whom He chooses.
It was the mercy of God that led the children of Israel out of the bondage of over four hundred years. Exodus 15:13 records about God, “You in Your mercy have led forth the people whom You have redeemed…”
Pray not to be out of the mercy of God.
Joseph feared God.
Joseph gained the position not to miss the mercy.
God was with Joseph through his challenges because he knew God.
The word testified about Joseph, “…the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy…” (Genesis 39:21)
The mercy of God answers for one who walks in the word of God.
The mercy of God is abundant, and His mercy does not run out.
One who disobeys God shall run out of His mercy.
Truly, the mercy of God endures forever.
Many are under the power and mercy of God. God spoke to Moses, “For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.” (Romans 9:15-16)
It was not of Moses’ will, but the will of God, in His mercy that kept Moses through the calling of God over his life.
Knowing God will grow in the fear of God.
Live in knowing God, grow in Him and the fear of God shall continually order your step.
Knowing is having an understanding of God that the fear of the Lord is His treasure.
One with the fear of God will answer as God’s treasure.
Luke 1:50 testifies, “And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.”
Who are the ones who fear Him?
To fear God is to live by His word.
God planted fear in the heart of man.
Engage living in the fear of God and allow His mercy to be yours.

Prayer for today: Ask God for His hand to come upon you for living life to fear Him.

KNOW GOD MORE

FAITH CAPSULE: Strive more to know God more than ever.

1 Timothy 6

What kind of a believer are you?
In the new month, week, or this day, strive to know God by engaging the word of God.
One who does not know the word of God will not live for God to answer as a believer.
Upgrade knowing God to live by the word of God.
One impressing the world is not evidence such as a believer.
Speaking in one tongue is not enough to be counted as living by the word of God.
Answering as a believer is not evidence of one who lives by the word of God.
Answering as a believer and not living by the word of God is the same as acclaimed Christians and not living as Christ-like.
Acts 11:26 made all know the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
Many know about God but do not know God.
Are you a believer living by the way of God, seeking God by the way of God, not by your way?
A believer who seeks God diligently will find God.
One who does not know God has no faith to live for God.
Knowing God is knowing the word of God, the source of having faith
The opposite of Good faith is bad faith.
Good faith will be hearing and hearing the word of God, the source of faith, to do what is right and good before God.
Bad faith is not hearing the word of God, not living for God, but living a life of wickedness.
1 Timothy 6:12 admonishes those who will hear and take to the word of God, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.”
Strive to have the good fight of faith, not to miss eternal life.
No one should wait until time to pack for eternal life to find out the importance of fighting a good fight.
In the new month, week, or this day, strive to know God by engaging the word of God.
Live life as one who knows God.
Pray to fight a good fight of faith.
Search to answer the kind of believer you are before God.
Through the word is to be identified as living by the word of God.
The word of God is not a story but a secret.
Psalm 91:1 buttresses, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Seek God diligently to find Him in His word.
Give yourself to study the word more than reading.
There is power in the word of God.
The devil approached Jesus with temptation, but the word of God delivered Him. (Matthew 4:1-7)
What kind of a believer are you?
The word of God is irrelevant and does not count for unbelieving believers.
To carry the word of God in the heart is power, unlike in the mouth.

Prayer for today: Pray to live by the word of God, the character of giving self to the word of God.

THE NEW MONTH IS COMING

FAITH CAPSULE: Which way are you moving in the coming month?

Jeremiah 7

With a month running out, let the new month be a time to live for God more.
Answering as one living for God moving forward, to the glory of God, should be of desire in the coming new month.
The way to move forward is in the word of God.
The way backward is in the wicked world.
With you, which way are you moving in the coming month?
Are you going by the dictates of your heart or by the living word of the living God?
Going by the dictates of the heart of man can be of the world.
The way of the world is the way that seems right, not the way of God. Proverbs 14:12 makes us realize that “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” The way that seems right to man comes from the dictates of the evil heart.
The way that seems right is wrong; the way that seems right is always a way of assumption with no certainty to lead right.
As a child of God, have you thought about the reason why you have been going backward instead of forward?
The possibility of your going back is following the dictates of your heart. God was speaking to Jeremiah about the disobedience of the Israelites in Jeremiah 7:21-24, “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat.  For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices.  But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’  Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward.”  God called it an evil heart. Evil heart belongs to wicked.
There is a way that is alive when aligned with God.
Take to the word of God, and it will see you through the journey of life.
An evil heart or wicked heart only leads to the wrong way. The word God says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)
Why should a God-fearing person want to keep going back to the evil heart for counsels and dictates?
Going back and away from God will lead to the wrong way.
From today, begin to take your counsels to the Lord in prayer; He alone is the living God.
Avoid the wrong way of the past and present month by taking the right way.
In the coming month, have the desire to be a living believer of God.

Prayer for today: Ask to be a vessel living for the glory of God.
