At a time when Pharaoh ordered for all male Hebrew children under two years old to be killed, Moses was born. Acts7:20, ÒAt this time Moses was born, and was pleasing to God; and he was brought up to his fatherÕs house for three months. But when he was set out, PharaohÕs daughter took him away and brought him up as her own son.Ó He was a beautiful son. The real parents wanted to keep him (despite the murder sentence on every male child born by a Hebrew parent) but they could not. Exodus 2:3, ÒWhen she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the riverÕs bank.Ó The parents do not want to let go. God knew Moses before He formed him in his motherÕs womb. God had all of yours in His hand before you were born. He knows what He wants to do with your life if you will let Him. It does not matter how you love what you hold, God does have a better plan if you will let it go. Before God could settle Moses for his calling, Moses was set-out by the hand of his parents. They let him go so he could get to where God had planned for him — to receive training for what He had called Moses for. Yours is not different from Moses. God is ready to move you to a higher and better ground. For God to move you, He will have to remove you. Take it all to God in prayer, He will not leave you nor forsake you.
