2 Kings 4:8-17

A barren Shunammite woman was able to recognize the constant passing by of a man of God. 2 Kings 4:9, ÒAnd she said to her husband, ÔLook now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.ÕÓ She had an open eye and mind to see the man of God passing by regularly. Have you been able to identify and see who God has been sending to you on a regular basis? It is important to be sensitive to what God is doing or what He wants to do in your life. God must have been sending someone to you that you have never seen or ever come in contact with. Your failure to acknowledge it might cause a failure to enter into what God has packaged through that one for you. 2 Kings 4:10, ÒPlease, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lamp stand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us he can turn in there.Ó How can you prepare for the one you have not acknowledged? You can begin to think of how to reach who God has been sending your way. The Shunammite woman did exactly what she wanted to do for the man of God. Elisha was acknowledged by the Shunammite woman that was barren. The upper room that was prepared for him became the ground of the ShunnammiteÕs blessing for fruit of the womb. While Elisha was in the room, 2 Kings < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>4:16, ÒThen he said, ÔAbout this time next year you shall embrace a son,Õ And she said, ÔNo, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!Ó She thought it was a lie, but she conceived and had a son. When you reach out to your blessing, it will not pass you by.
