2Kings 5: 1-12

Miracle from God is not for sale, it is for salvation. Naaman, a commander of the army of the king of Syria, a great honorable man in the eyes of his master thought he could get healing with his own price. He chased healing from Syria to Samaria thinking it was purchasable with wealth and manÕs authority. 2Kings5:5, ÒThen the king of Syria said, ÒGo now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.Ó So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing. All that Naaman carried along to seek healing was empty because he carried self along. Self and material was not enough for Naaman to gain ElishaÕs personal attention. Elisha did not attend to him directly but through his servant. 2King 5:11, ÒBut Naaman became furious, and went away and said, ÔIndeed, I said to myself, ÔHe will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.ÕÓ All that Naaman needed was to deny self which was the source of his pride. When self surfaced, he became furious and acted in rage. Does that sound like you? Are you having frequent anger, rage, and being furious on a consistent basis? If you will pay attention to yourself, you will discover that your anger is from the empty pride in you. Also, your pride generates anger and rage that stands between you and your break through. Naaman almost missed his breakthrough in healing because of (self) pride. Ask God to deliver you from every spirit of pride.
