HUMBLE

FAITH CAPSULE: Is your walk consistent with the Lord’s requirement?

Matthew 18:1-5, Philippians 2:1-11

It is written, “At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” It is clear that all should have to become greatest in the kingdom of heaven. However, becoming greatest in the kingdom of heaven demands to enter kingdom of heaven. Without having been converted as little children humility is impossible.
By action and word, Jesus spelt it out for us to know who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven, “Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” (Matthew 18:3-4)
Are you converted and become as little children?
If you are not converted as little children you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
In the word of Jesus, humility as little child is the key. Jesus wants us to have the kind of His mindful.
What kind of mindful do you have? Is your mind full of pride?
Paul the apostle identify the mind of Christ for us, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:5-8)
It is unblemished in the word of Paul that the mind of Christ is nothing but humble. There is no one that is born with humility. Jesus our Lord and savior proved it that humility is what we must learn. The bible recorded, “Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him.” (Hebrews 5:8-9) Today no believer wants to suffer in learning through and put on the mind of Christ (humility).
Give up your pride, put on humility by becoming a little child. When the words of Jesus are not obeyed it is a demonstration of having no love for His word. In your conduct of everyday life, be as a little child and see the difference your life brings to those around you. Take the teaching of the Master. Be converted and become as little children then humility will become your garment.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to be one as little children.
