DAY AFTER HIS BIRTH

FAITH CAPSULE: Celebrate the birth of Jesus as a way of life, not once in a while.

John 10:1-21

The majority population celebrating the birth of Jesus is the same as the majority population attending church services to worship God without living a life that impacts the world positively.
Are you one of the majorities that celebrates Jesus with glamorous activity with no clue about the meaning of living life for God?
As a celebrator of the birth of Jesus, are you impacting your world to the glory of God?
Jesus addressed the issue of impacting life, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” (Matthew 5:14)
Jesus also said, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
One who believes celebrating the birth of Jesus should be light or salt that impacts the world positively.
Being busy with glamorous celebrations is not the way of celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Glamorous celebration is a lack of understanding.
Knowing about God is different from knowing God.
The majority do not understand why Jesus came.
Jesus declared why He came, “…I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)
Understanding the coming of Jesus is a position to have an abundant life without fail to inherit eternal life.
With understanding, it is good to celebrate the birth of Jesus continually by doing all that glorifies the name of God. The glamorous celebration comes in December and lasts through the end of December. After the December celebration, it becomes irrelevant to celebrate the birth of Jesus as a way of life.
Celebrating the birth of Jesus should be centered on self-questioning as, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Such reasonable questions will enable all to focus on God, avoiding not to miss eternal life.
A lawyer asked Jesus, “…Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (Luke 10:25)
Jesus responded to the lawyer by asking him about the commandments.
The lawyer answered Jesus correctly, “…You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
The lawyer answered Jesus correctly.
Running around with glamorous celebrations is not evidence of love for the neighbors.
Love for God is the evidence of celebrating with understanding.
A faithful believer will live life loving God and neighbors.
To love is faith.
Jesus questioned, “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)
Jesus is coming, the time of a glorious celebration.
Be a reasonable celebrant of the birth of Jesus!

Prayer for today: Ask for the understanding to live celebrating the birth of Jesus.
