DESIRE TO BE HUMBLE

FAITH CAPSULE: An acclaimed believer should desire the mind of Christ.

John 13

What kind of man are you?
How is your mind before God?
To capture living life for God is to have the mind of Jesus.
Paul admonished in Philippians 2:5-8, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
What is it about the mind of Christ?
Do you have the mind of Christ?
Have you thought about the mind of Jesus?
The mind of Christ is humble, a mind that is plain, simple, and set before God.
A humble mind is not about thinking less of ourselves, but about thinking of others with love.
A humble mind encourages us to think about the people
To the world, to be a humble mind can be perceived as weak but wrong.
Humble can lead to more happiness and better relationships with others.
A humble person should not do things through selfish ambition, but esteem others better than oneself.
Jesus showed the greatest example of humility when He washed the feet of His disciples and gave His.
Jesus demonstrated for His disciples then and today about the importance of humility in John 13:1, “Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands and that He had come from God and was going to God, rose from the supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.” (John 13:3-5)
There is no perfect way to teach and demonstrate what it means to be humble than the documentation of Jesus, His way of humility.
Once, Jesus was asked, “…Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” (Matthew 18:1).
Jesus responsed clearly described humility as the way to become the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom.” (Matthew 18:3-4)
To be the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven is distant for all until one is converted to become like a little child.
The title of any man on earth is not evidence of humility or a ticket to becoming the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
One that is not full of the word of God is not with the Spirit of God.
Little children have a mindset of humility, not pride.
With the identity of malice, deception, and unforgiveness, one cannot see God.

Prayer for today: Ask for the mind of Christ Jesus to become in you.
