When all attemptswere in place for Lot to be rescued from the destructionof Sodom and Gomorrah, there was every attempt by Lot not to be saved. Having been repeatedly warned bythe angels, about the plans of God to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, he wanted to stay behind. Gen.19:16and while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wifeÕs hand, and thehands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they broughthim out and set him outside the city. In the package of escape for Lot, his wife and two daughters was the instruction notto look back. The wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. If there wasanyone to look back, it should have been Lotbecause of his lingering spirit. Lotand his two daughters did not look back. Lotwhose name means separation was able to live up to his name. The moment he gotto the city he separated himself from the land of destruction. What name do youcarry? Does your name prophesy to your life?
