Distraction< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
Luke 10:38-42
For real, distraction will deny you. If you are not real in your walk and how you work for the Lord, distraction is a legitimate poison that will deny you from getting to an expected end in the journey of faith. So many have welcomed Jesus into their heart, they have received Him as their Lord and savior, but the fact is, your welcoming Him requires a certain level of attention to avoid His withdrawal from you. Having been able to receive Him, you have to behave like Him to avoid an unfruitful way of life. For anyone that has both welcomed and received Jesus into their life, there is a need to maintain His entrance in their life. Giving Him all the attention is what it takes to maintain His entrance. Luke 10:38, ÒNow it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.Ó Just like Martha, you have welcomed Him into your house by receiving Him. Luke 10:40, ÒBut Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ÔLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.ÕÓ Can you see how Martha is falling away? Nothing is bad in serving, but it is bad if, in your service to the Lord, distraction is having its way over your life. Martha welcomed Him into her house but became distracted. It does not matter who you are or how you serve in the house of the Lord, distraction will deny you if you fail to deny distraction and focus on Him.
