2 Chronicles 29:1-11

Among the first things Hezekiah did when he became the king of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Judah was to purify the temple of God. 2 Chronicles29:3, ÒIn the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the house of the LORD and repaired them.Ó The word of God is written for our learning. As a house of God (temple of God) that needs to be worked on, the first thing is to open the door. Jesus said He stands at the door knocking. Hezekiah did not just open the door, he opened it for reparation. For a long time, you have had the door of your heart opened, but you did not know what to do with your open door. It is not enough to open when you fail to allow repairs to have its way. Allow the Lord to come into your temple and repair it. What type of reparation are you considering for your situation? Hezekiah did not just have the door open for playing religion; he brought in those that are qualified to work inside the temple. 2 Chronicles 29:5, ÒAnd he said to them: Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.Ó JesusÕ knocking is to come in and sanctify you by His word. You have a need to carry out the rubbish that has been denying the handiwork of the Lord in your life. You, as a temple of God, will continue to be a waste until you let go of the rubbish that is occupying as the landlord in your life. It is not enough to have the door open without letting repairs have its way.
