John 6:1-14

His provision is not bounded by what you have or what you do not have. His provision is not bounded by how much or how many you have, neither is it bounded by what you see and what you do not see. Where are you located? What is it that is lacking in your life?

Jesus had multitudes following Him all over the place — sea and mountain. They were following because they saw His signs which He performed. They followed Him to a place where there was not enough food to eat or purchase. Jesus knew there was a need for food, and that there was no place to buy when He asked, ÒWhere shall we buy bread, that these may eat?Ó (John 6:5). In the process of looking for food, John 6:8-9, ÒOne of His disciples, Andrew, Simon PeterÕs brother, said to Him, ÔThere is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?ÕÓ How can five barley loaves and two small fish add up for a multitude of at least five thousand? It is only the grace of God that can make such a provision for the numbers at hand. Think of your need as nothing compared to the ones mentioned among five thousand in a place of lack. The place where you are, or the magnitude of what you are lacking, will bow at the name of Jesus. John 6:10, ÒThen Jesus said, ÔMake the people sit down.Õ Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.Ó He gave a command and blessed the little. Abundance reigned and leftovers replaced shortage. Give yourself over to His command in total obedience and all your lack will become history. God will make a way in Jesus name.
