Coming And Going

GOING AND COMING< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>

Jeremiah 7:1-12

In your going and coming to the house of the Lord what have you been doing? Have you limited yourself to entering and not dwelling? Jeremiah 7:1-3, ÒThe word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 ÒStand in the gate of the LORDÕs house, and proclaim there this word, and say, ÔHear the word of the LORD, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the LORD!ÕÓ 3 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel: ÒAmend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.Ó It is clear that the word was for the people in the house of God and not those that do not know God. It is definitely not enough going and coming to gain entrance but going and coming to begin to dwell is all that counts. No wonder David stated in Psalm 27:4, ÒOne thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of And to inquire in His temple.Ó If your going and coming is not to dwell ask for GodÕs help that will cause you to begin to dwell in His house. He who comes to God must believe that He is. You have been coming long enough and nothing has change in your spiritual life. What is the basis of your coming? Is it religion? There is a need to begin to come and seek Him diligently. Your level of belief is what will determine how you seek Him. Seek Him diligently and He will reward you because He is a faithful God. It is possible to come to Him and not believe. In the days of Jesus Christ, so many came to see Him; some to ridicule and some did not go to him because they did not believe. So many go to church on Sunday or any given day not being able to identify in themselves if they actually believe Him. Many went to Him and did not seek Him. When you come with belief, you will no doubt seek Him diligently. It is enough of just coming; come to seek Him. Seeking Him diligently is what brings the reward.
