MIND OF CHRIST< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
Nehemiah 9:16-17, Philippians 2
Do you ask yourself if you have the mind of Christ or is the mind of Christ is having you. Paul, the Apostle, encouraged in Philippians 2:5,Ó Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.Ó The absence of the mind of Christ will make operating like Christ absolutely impossible. Paul went further and pointed out what the mind of Christ is about in Philippians 2:8, ÒAnd being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.Ó Christ humbled Himself and became obedient. Without humility, there is no way for any believer to be obedient to the commands of God. This is the revelation of why a majority of the self-acclaimed Christ followers today are operating without any power demonstration. The mind of Christ is not in place and as a result, power has been misplaced. There has to be interpretation and application of the Word. To be humble is to be obedient to what God requires from His children. This is what Nehemiah has to say in Nehemiah < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>9:16, ÒBut they and our fathers acted proudly, hardened their necks, and did not heed Your commandments.Ó To be proud is to lack humility. Whenever proud is in place, hardness of heart or necks as implied by Nehemiah, will also have its place and then obedience will be displaced. It is also written all over, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, that to lack humility will lead to disobedience. The mind of Christ is the only source of power for any believer that desires to operate in power demonstration. Ask God for help because determination will not do it. Be of Christ minded.
