COMMANDING COMMANDER< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
Joshua 1
After MosesÕ assignment and his death, a new leader in Joshua was unfolded. Joshua needed to fit into big shoes. Without GodÕs intervention, there would have been no way for Joshua to step into Moses shoes. Joshua 1:1, ÒAfter the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, MosesÕ assistant, saying: 2 ÔMoses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to themÑthe children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.ÕÓ Before any move, Joshua heard from God. The Word of God that came to Joshua was a word of command to move forward and to be encouraged. It is impossible to hear from the Commanding commander and not become a commander. Joshua 1:10, ÒThen Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 ÒPass through the camp and command the people, saying, ÔPrepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess.ÕÓ Right after Joshua heard from the Commanding Commander, he himself became commander of the people of God. Is there anything that is denying you from hearing His command concerning your new assignment as husband, wife, or as the new director in your place of work? Hearing from God for every turn or in every direction is what will make a difference in how you proceed from where you are into where He is taking you. Ask God to take the place of the Commanding commander of your life. It is impossible to receive a command from Him and not become a commander. Ask God for His command to sound in your direction. God is a faithful God and His command will never fail you except that you fail to take to His command.
