1Kings 21

God is a consistent God when He declares in 2 Chronicles 7:14, ÒIf my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land Ó. Ahab, the king of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel, and his wife committed great wickedness in Israel. AhabÕs wickedness was so much to the point that he was referred to in 1 Kings 21:25, ÒBut there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife stirred him upÓ. Ahab was sold to do wickedness and with wickedness there is no way before God. It does not matter how far you have gone in doing wickedness; if only you can turn around at the point you are now and give it all to God. He has already promised that if you will humble yourself, pray and seek His face and turn from your wicked ways, healing will become your portion. It all starts at the point that you decide to turn away from doing wicked activities. When King Ahab heard and saw the need for repentance, forgiveness had its way in his life. It was testified about Ahab in 1 Kings 21:29, ÒSee how Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the calamity in his days. In the days of his son I will bring the calamity on his house.Ó As merciful and as gracious God is, when the time of the children of Ahab comes to play and if forgiveness is asked for, He probably will forgive. The point here is, no matter how much wickedness you think you have committed, God is merciful and gracious if you will do what it takes for you to be forgiven. It can never be too late if you are still alive; do not postpone your repentance. Repent today and He will activate your forgiveness today.
