SEE DELIVERANCE< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
2 Kings 6:8-23
At every time trouble, challenges of the enemy or great danger physically show its face, the Lord will not fail in giving us the eyes to see our deliverance in place. Once, the Syrian army rounded up Elisha in attempt to terminate him. He was of great help by revealing the plans of the enemies to the king of Israel. As a result, the king of Syria took action. ÒTherefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.Ó (2 Kings 6:14) How on earth would it have been possible for Elisha and his servant to withstand Syrian armies that surrounded them with war resources? There was no way out for Elisha and his servants and nothing on earth could have rescued them from the hand of their enemy. The Bible records in 2 Kings 6:15, ÒAnd when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, ÒAlas, my master! What shall we do?ÓÓ When the servant rose early, what he saw was troubling to him. Just as great challenges and forces of the wicked surrounded them so we have been surrounded today. The devil today is all out to kill, steal and destroy. The servant saw negative despite the fact that he was with the man of God that was fully endued with the power of God. You also have been fully endued with the power of God because Jesus has finished the battle. What do you see? How do you see your day? It makes a difference if you will begin to see everyday as a day that the Lord has given you victory in all area of your going and your coming. The servant was discouraged because he could not see anything positive on ground that could have delivered them. Elisha made it known to his servant by responding with a word of encouragement, ÒDo not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.Ó Apostle Paul has made it known to us in when he declared in Romans 8:31, ÒWhat then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?Ó Just as the Lord was with His children in the Old Testament for deliverance and preservation so He is still with all of His children today. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever. Ask God to open your eyes the same way the eyes of the servant were opened by the prayer of Elisha. God opened his eyes to see deliverance He will open your eyes to constantly see deliverance also.
