2Kings 4:8-37
ÒNow faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.Ó (Hebrew 11:1-2) Do not consider this for a later adoption to your pending situation or pressing need. Now and not later, go ahead and apply faith knowing that God is still in the business of honoring His Word. Faith is heart-activated and mouth-operated. Faith is a God pleaser and it will provoke God to move on your behalf. Faith will move the hand of God if indeed it is activated and operated the way it should be. God cannot be deceived when you fail to activate and operate faith; failure will activate and operate itself whether you like it or not. God knows our heart and knows when faith is activated more than we know it and that is why Hannah said in her prophetic prayer in 1 Samuel 2:3, ÒÉFor the LORD is the God of Knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed.Ó What is your action concerning you pending situation? How are you going to activate what will bring you out of your dilemma? The only and better choice is to lay it on God and watch while you wait to see how God will move in on your behalf. From this moment on, begin to confess positivity to your situation. Begin to see victory in the place of defeat; begin to see breakthrough in the face of hindrances and also begin to see life in the place of death. Let your faith announce your wellness and not the surrounding situations. The Shunammite woman had no son and her husband was old. This testifies to the fact that there could be no way for her to have a child except if a miracle took place. When Elisha came into the Shunammite woman, he activated the faith from his heart by operating with his mouth when he spoke to her, ÒThen he said, ÔAbout this time next year you shall embrace a son.Õ And she said, ÔNo, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!ÕÓ (2 kings 4:16) The Shunammite woman had a child just as Elisha spoke it. The child grew and one day he was sick and he died; he was not just sleeping. As a result, the Shunammite woman went and looked for Elisha with heart-activated faith for Elisha tol pray the child back to life. All through her trip to Elisha she activated faith in her heart and operated faith with her mouth by confessing that all was well with her even in the midst of her going through and having lost her only child to death. Elisha responded to the Shunammite woman as she approached Elisha by sending his servant, ÒPlease run now to meet her, and say to her, ÔIs it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?Õ And she answered, ÔIt is well.ÕÓ (1 kings 4:26) The Shunammite woman maintained her heartÕs activated faith and repeatedly operated faith by her mouth throughout her ordeal. Elisha went with her and the dead child was brought to life. The same miracles are everywhere today where faith is having its reign because of GodÕs rule and reign over all His creation. Ask God for the Spirit of faith to have its reign in your life and for His Name to be glorified.
