WHY
Exodus 13:17-22
The why in the life of a believer often lead to the way of getting to the center of divine assignment or the Promised Land. Sometimes the why avenue is the only way out of situations that are not accommodating in the life of a believer. Why you are in what you are could be the way the Lord has chosen for you get to where He is taking you. Throughout the pages of the Bible, many giants in the hand of God such as Moses, Joseph, Daniel and many others went through different avenues of why me. During the coming out the bondage of over four hundred years, the children of Israel went straight into their why avenue when they were lead into the way of wilderness instead of the way that would have been shorter for them. Exodus 13:17-18, “Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, ‘Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.’ 18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.” With God as the center of your life, you never know where and how He is going to take you through. Why go through the way of wilderness; the way that does not look promising? Why? Why when others are going through without any challenges? The way of the wilderness was the Lord’s leading way for the children of Israel. Nothing operates under heaven that passes through without first being picked up by the heavenly radar of God. He is the only God that is God; He alone sees the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end. Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” God was speaking to Jeremiah and what He says to one speaks to all. The One who made you is in control of all and there is no place to hide or turn to without Him knowing. The same God yesterday, today and tomorrow also stated in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Does this sound like He is also talking to you in your “why avenue?” God is not a partial God and His Word will not elude you if you do not exclude yourself from calling on Him. With this knowing, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:12) God will not fail in listening to you except you fail in calling and asking from Him. Your own why is your way out to the top of every mountain of hindrance. In Jesus Name your testimony is today.
