NO FAILURE IN HIM
Luke 8:41-56
Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, went and begged Jesus to come to his house because his only daughter was dying. “…And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, 42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him.” (Luke 8:41-42) In the process of getting to Jairus’ daughter before it was too late, every form of delay were taking turns to make sure that begging for Jesus to come and heal Jairus’ daughter didn’t happened. The point here is, whenever or whatever He is called on to, no force can deny Him from answering. In every call onto Jesus, discouragement will show up and ridicule will have its own part. Just as He was going to attend to the twelve-year-old girl, a woman with disease of twelve years came into the picture and slowed down the move of Jesus. As a result of this, delay had its way and the chances of Jesus getting to Jairus’ daughter on time narrowed. While delay was in place a call of discouragement came when, “…Someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” (Luke 8:49) Jesus is on your case; He will get to you on His time. When the news of discouragement came, Jesus responded with a word of encouragement by saying, “…Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” (Luke 8:50) Discouragement will lead to fear and fear is what will sink faith. Calling and giving it all unto Jesus is resting in hope, regardless of delay, or discouragement. Have you cast all your cares and concerns on Him? He will not fail you. Jesus did not stop on His way to Jairus’ daughter. At Jairus home, “Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.”” (Luke 8:52-53) Jesus quenched the fire of discouragement before getting to Jairus’ house, while at Jairus’ house the agents of ridicule were in place. The enemy was at work to take away what the Lord had for Jairus’ daughter, but the Lord is the one in control and all power is in His hand. There is no documentation of Jesus failing at anytime in every situation that He attended to while on the face of earth. Jesus did not hesitate to deal with the forces of delay, “But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.””(Luke 8:54) Have you committed all unto Him? He will not fail you; ignore delay, discouragement, and ridicule.
Prayer for the day: Father, You alone are God that reverses the irreversible. Have mercy upon me, and deliver me from all that the enemy has put in place to deny my miracle.
