When the word of God is mixed with faith it becomes profitable (Heb. 4:2).

He has sent His word to heal and to deliver us from all kinds of destruction Ps.107:20. On every issue of life, when we walk in His word, the word will work for us. Heb. 4:12 describes the word of God as living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.   The word will not deliver all that is promised if you and I could not deliver all that is required of us.  Obedience is the pass word. We have to be constant and consistent in obeying Him because there is no half obedience. Obedience will deliver us from unnecessary, costly and painful sacrifice that goes back and forth in all our endeavors of life. What will cause men to disobey the Almighty God? Nehemiah 9:17 pointed out that an act of disobedience is caused by not being mindful of GodÕs wonders and it leads to hardness of heart.

~Hardened~

Hardness of heart will cause one not to believe in the word. In the word there is a way, in the way there is the word. Jesus is the word and He is the way. Hardened heart lacks belief therefore faith cannot have its way. Heb.4:2 made it clear that when word is not mixed with faith, it becomes unprofitable.

Among the identity of hardness of heart is Fear. Faith and fear are opposite. The word of God is the source of faith and when you do not believe in it you lack faith and have fear. You might have hardened your heart unconsciously by not investing your time on the word. One will only invest time on what he or she believes. Take careful note, HARDNESS of HEART is the cause of non-belief.

The same God yesterday, today, tomorrow promised that His word shall not return to Him void but it shall accomplish its purpose. The word shall prosper in the thing for which He sent it (Isa. 55:11). As you read through this news, God will deliver you from the spirit of hardness of heart. In believing, you will believe in His word and it shall be profitable for you.

~Temple~

In Matt. 21:12, Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. So many people are in the temple but very few are the temple. It should not be about coming and going on Sundays. Paul asked in 1Cor.3:16, do you not know that you are the temple of God and the spirit of God dwells in you? It is not enough going to the temple but being a temple. Some walk into church and walk out the same way because through out the worship, they are busy thinking of how dollars will be converted to pounds. It is not about entering and exiting but about dwelling as the temple. Jesus mentioned in v.13 of Matt. 21 that His temple, (that is you) shall be a house of prayer not a den of thieves. Are you a praying temple?

How is your prayer life? The end of all thing is at hand (not a speculation but a confirmation); therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers 1Peter 4:8. Let the seriousness of your prayer not be limited only to the time of urgent need, let it be consistent with seriousness always.

I pray God in His goodness and mercy will help us in our prayer life Amen.

In John 16:33, Jesus said Òthese things I have spoken

to you, that in Me you may have peace, in the world

you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have

overcome the worldÓ.

One has the choice of peace in Him if one chooses Him,

and that is why He said you may. Tribulation is a

certainty and that is why He said you will have tribulation

in this world. Choose Him and encounter tribulation with

peace or please yourself with tribulation without Him.
