DRESS OR READDRESS

FAITH CAPSULE: Be wise, and learn to live by looking into the word of God as a mirror.

Isaiah 40

Looking into the word of God as a mirror will dress or readdress one that makes approaching the word of God a mirror to engage life journey.
Four things to learn from looking in the word of God that will make one not live a life of waste and not become a victim of a wicked world are:
DO NOT BE STAGNATED, BE UPGRADED CONTINUALLY
Isaiah 40:31 admonishes the importance of waiting on God, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” When you observe yourself not progressing as expected, or walking instead of running, know that your upgrading is not in place. Gain in the word of God not to be stagnated as a victim of the wicked world.
The word of God is the strength of God, live life by the word of God.
AVOID COMPLAINTS BEFORE GOD
Exodus 15:23-24 records, “Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore, the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
The complaint of the Israelites against Moses was an indirect complaint toward God.
The Israelites could not count on the blessing of God that brought them out of the bondage of over four hundred years.
If one can count the blessings of God for life given by God, there should be no place for complaining about where one is or located in the journey of life.
Avoid complaints!
WAIT ON THE TIME OF GOD
Waiting on God is timeless.
Waiting for the intervention of God can take a long or short time as God permits more than expected by one waiting before God.
The waiting that takes “Mr. A” a short time before God is possible for “Mr. B” a long time to get an answer from God.
David testifies, “I waited patiently for the Lord, And He inclined to me and heard my cry.” (Psalm 40:1)
Wait on God, know that time belongs to God but not man.
Be patient when waiting on God.
KNOW TO HIDE IN THE FACE OF CHALLENGE
Claiming to be a believer does not excuse one not to HIDE in a challenging situation.
Jesus, the Lord, and savior, demonstrated a need to know to hide from challenges.
John 8:59 records, “Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. “
Once Jesus needed to hide in his depart where there was a need for Him to hide,“…These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.” (John 12:36)
Be wise, and learn to live by looking into the word of God as a mirror for dressing up not to become a victim in the wicked world.
