FAITH CAPSULE: To exist for God is to live life for the glory of God.
Romans 3
The will of God is for all to exist for Him.
Revelation 4:11 records, “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”
Existing for God is giving Him glory and honour.
To give Him glory and honour is seeking Him with all the heart and soul.
One who seeks God with heart and soul is characterized by waiting on God.
One who waits on God knows God, not just knows about God.
One who seeks God to wait on His word does not despise His word but will take a position to see God in His word and not despise Him.
Despising the word will set one up for self-destruction. (Proverbs 13:13) In life, despising God will plunge one into sin.
With sin, such is not seeking God diligently to find God.
One who waits on God abstains from telling lies.
It is not possible to claim to seek God diligently while telling lies, deceiving, and manipulating others.
God despises lies, deception, and manipulation, but what do you embrace?
Telling lies, deceiving, and manipulating man is a sin before God.
Before God, there is no reasonable excuse for telling lies, deceiving, and manipulating, claiming to be for God.
In all areas of life, nothing is hidden from God because He hears and sees all.
Seek God diligently, waiting on God to come out of sin, abhor iniquity. Claiming to wait on God while doing wrong does have consequences before God.
Matthew 7:21-23 records, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Sin is not seeking God but getting exposed to the devil.
No one waits on God to give acceptable glory to God with lies hidden as truth, which is not of God.
Word of Paul speaks about sin as deception of truth: “For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? 8 And why not say, “Let us do evil that good may come”? —as we are slanderously reported and as some affirm that we say. Their condemnation is just.” (Romans 3:7-8)
Live for God, exist for His glory, be truthful with no deception, come out of sin, and seek God diligently.
Are you aware of your sin that is stumbling you to seek God, to wait on God?
If there is any, repent for your redemption before God.
Prayer for today: Ask God for forgiveness of conscious sin or unconscious sin in your life.
