FAITH CAPSULE: Giving thanks to God is about living for God.
John 1:1-18
DO NOT BE TOO QUIET TO DENY VICTORIOUS
Give thanks to God from the root of the heart by opening the mouth, not just thinking thanks.
Are you too quiet to deny victory for yourself?
All should let giving thanks to God be the character as a way of life.
Are the challenges of yesterday or today overwhelming you from giving thanks continually?
Give thanks to God with a loud voice to be victorious.
Jeremiah 30:19 records, “Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish…”
Regardless of challenges, give thanks for all things, and all things shall work together for good.
Ask God for a heart of thanksgiving continually.
FOCUS ON GOD ALONE
God sent His word to heal and to deliver from destruction. (Psalm 107:20)
One that cannot see deliverance in the word of God denies self from gaining the intervention of God.
To become worried in the face of a challenge is not looking up to God.
Stop beholding challenges, but look up to God.
Despite the experience of the deliverance of the Israelites, they looked into challenges, not God.
Exodus 14:10-12 records, “And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid…”
Does that sound like you?
Ask to be bold and have character in His word in the face of world challenges.
GOD IS NEAR AT ALL TIMES
Living in the consciousness that God is near is evidence of divine protection.
Do you know that God is near, but you are living outside of the word of God?
Are you “A man who is in honor, yet does not understand, is like the beasts that perish.” (Psalm 49:20)
Avoid not living by the word of God, which is the evidence of living outside of God, not keeping to His word to become far from Him.
In the near to God is the protection for one that lives life by the word of God.
Keep in mind that the word of God is God.
Ask to live life in the consciousness of the nearness of God.
LIVE LIFE BY THE WORD OF GOD
God magnifies His word above all His name. (Psalm 138:2)
One serving self in the name of serving or seeking God is pretending, not attending to the word of God.
Give attention to the word of God to gain and retain His presence, walking with Him.
Search self to correct self by walking with God.
David, a man after the heart of God, searches himself, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23)
Wicked carry words in the mouth but not in the heart. (Jeremiah 12:1-2)
Pray to live the word of God as a believer.
