FAITH CAPSULE: Know to do right to prepare.
Mark 14:12-26
Thanking God should be continuous to provoke His visitation to bless.
Waiting to be convenient before thanking God is not enough.
Make it a way of thanking God at all times for all things.
Thanking for all things is what makes all things work together for the glory of God.
Thank God continuously, not on a particular day of the year.
Thanking God is praising God.
Prayerfully meditate by asking for strength and understanding, thanking God as a way of life in the coming year.
With understanding, give thanks to God.
Psalm 47:7, recorded, “For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.”
As praising God is with understanding, giving thanks to God should be with understanding.
Give Him thanks with understanding.
One who gives thanks to God with understanding will gain access to God.
Psalm 100:4 buttresses the meaning of giving thanks to God with understanding, stating, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”
With understanding, thanking God will open the door to gaining the presence of God in the coming year.
PREPARE IN PRAYER NOT TO BE REDUCED BEFORE GOD IN THE COMING DAYS
Just as prayerfully thanking God for living for God is to pray against forces that deny living for God and not gain the presence of God, in the coming days.
In the coming days and ongoing, pray that God enable you to keep your mind on God.
Mind that does not stay on God is vulnerable to the forces against the mind.
The presence of God activates the rest of God.
The rest of God inhabits the peace of God.
God is the author of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
With trust and hope, consciously activate your mind to stay with God for His peace.
Isaiah 26:3 states, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Also, the love for God with the mind stays on God, as Psalm 119:165 states, “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.”
From this moment ask to live with the mind that stays on God.
An act of obedience is a preparation to experience the move of God in favour.
It was a preparation commanded by Jesus to move the stone at the entrance of the tomb of Lazarus.
Jesus needed to pray for the resurrection of Lazarus after four days in the tomb.
It was preparation that brought the dead to life.
Preparation for God prevails.
At the time of Passover, Jesus sent out two of His disciples to say to the master of the house, “The Teacher says, ‘Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’ Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us.” So His disciples went out, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.” (Mark 14:14-16)
In preparation, there is a provision.
Prayer for today: Ask for the obedient to the word of God.
