Wear and tear

Lk.10:38-42

Martha welcomed Jesus into her house. She was busy serving the Lord while her sister called Mary sat at JesusÕ feet and heard His word. Martha did not have problem inviting Jesus into her heart (house) just like many have accepted Jesus. MarthaÕs problem was distraction. Her service was distracted and she could not get the word. She was serving Jesus but she failed to serve in the Lord. It is possible to serve the Lord and miss serving in Him. Luke 10:40 but Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ÒLord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.Ó V.41, and Jesus answered and said to her ÒMartha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. A believer serving the Lord and not serving in Him will become worried and troubled like Martha. Are you only serving Him without serving in Him? Worrying and being troubled is what you have to watch out for. Worry and trouble will wear and tear on you. It is not possible for one that serves in the Lord to be worried or troubled. Do not just serve Him, serve in Him.
