Unbelieving Believers

Unbelievingbelievers

Det.1:32,Jh.11:1-15, Jude v.5

Jesus onHis way to go and see Lazarus, He mentioned to His disciples that ÒLazarusis dead. ÒAnd I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you maybelieve. Nevertheless let us go to himÓ (Jh.11:14, 15). Jesus said thisto the disciples that followed Him morning, day, and night. His disciples havewitnessed miracles upon miracles. How do you describe this? They have seen itall and there should not have been any reason for unbelief. Do you know who youbelieve or do you know about who you believe? It is two things, to know Him andto know about Him. The children of Israel also saw it all. They saw the hand of God in operation from theirdeliverance through the red sea yet, for all that they did not believethe LORD their God (Det.1:32). There is a need for the grace to believeHim. When you do not know Him, you cannot believe Him. Not to believe Him isnot to have Him in you. Not to have Him is not to have life. Jude v.5says but I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, havingsaved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who didnot believe. Pray that God will impact the grace to believe sodestruction will not be your portion in Jesus name.
