Priority
Jh.4:1-42
Jh.4:7,a woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said toher, ÒGive me a drink.Ó V.8 for His disciples had gone away into the city tobuy food. Thedisciples left the food of life alone while a Samaritan woman, the leastexpected; took the place of the disciples. At the arrival of the disciples, they found out that a Samaritan woman had taken their place. The food they wentto get was no longer relevant to Jesus. They urged Jesus to eat, V.32 butHe said to them, ÒI have food to eat of which you do not know.Ó Thedisciples pressed on, in attempt to determine if anyone had brought food toHim. V.34 Jesus said to them, ÒMy food is to do the will of Him who sent Me,and to finish His work. Do you have any assignment from the Lord thatnever gets completed before moving on to some other assignment? While thedisciples were just getting settled from looking for the food of this world, the Samaritan was on her way witnessing about Jesus and drawing more people tobelieve Jesus.
