Luke14:11-32

The prodigal son wanted to change the plans of God for his life. He could not wait any longer so he decided to have the time changed. He went to his father and asked for the portion of goods that belonged to him. He went and journeyed to a far country. He changed the hand of the clock for his life but could not change the timing of God for his life. Consequently, he could not wait for GodÕs time. Luke15:14, ÒBut when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.Ó He began to be in want because he could not wait. Famine, which represents lack, became his portion. The consequence of turning the hand of the clock to catch up with the timing of God will cause you to be wasted. The prodigal son tampered with GodÕs time and he was hammered by an unbearable situation. Luke 15:16, ÒAnd he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.Ó Are you seriously considering turning the hand of your clock to usher yourself into GodÕs business? It is not possible to wait for GodÕs timing and waste. Turn and take it all to God. Do not turn to your clock by taking things up by yourself. The prodigal son came to himself and went back home to avoid self destruction. You might not come to yourself before it is too late; you need to wake up and let God have His way in your life.
