Gift Of God

Jude 1:1-7

Salvation through Jesus Christ is a gift from God. Romans 6:23, ÒFor the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Ó A gift remains a gift until it is taken and unwrapped around the receiver, then it becomes given. Have you opened yourself to the love of God, the gift that is from above to deliver you? Also, salvation is a vehicle and the driver is the ability to believe. Do you remember the children of < ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Israel that left Egypt? It was salvation that became a vehicle for them out of bondage of over 400 years. As they journeyed through the wilderness, the lack of belief is what terminated them from getting through to the promise land — the final destination. In fact, it can not be clearly spelled out better than how the word of God came through Jude. Jude 1:5, ÒBut I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.Ó You have been given the free gift, stop carrying it around with the gift bag. Open your gift; open yourself for the gift of God to become your identity. Let the gift of God begin to carry you, trust in the gift of God, believe in the gift of God and you will get to the expected end. A failure to open up to the gift will lead to eternal damnation.
