John 5:1-9

In Hebrew, every name means what it stands for. Names are not just an identity disposal. Bethesda means house of mercy. Lord knows how often you have been to your house of mercy, and mercy was never in place to address your situation. You have been in the same situation for years yet you have not received your healing or deliverance mercy. Some have come after you and received their healing or deliverance mercy. Does it bother you as a believer going to the same place where some have came and have been able to get through with their need? Are you like the paralytic man that was at the Gate near a pool which, in Hebrew, is called Bethesda (John 5:2 )? The Bible describes it well, John 5:5-6, ÒNow a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eighty years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition for a long time, He said to him, ÔDo you want to be made well?ÕÓ The same place where the paralytic man was, was the same place many had been and able to get healing. The same place where you have been going is the same place where people with same issue like yours have been getting their breakthrough. John 5:7, ÒThe sick man answered Him, ÔSir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.ÕÓ Will you turn to a new approach of, ÒThe Lord is my shepherd?Ó He is the only one that can deliver your healing to your hand, not man. Jesus is the only one that will put you through, not man.
