What To Say

WHAT TO SAY< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>Numbers 14:1-35

There is nothing too minor or unnecessary to take before God for His intervention. Jesus our Lord and Savior knew well enough when He instructed the disciples in Matthew 18:19, ÒBut when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak.Ó What to speak in time, at place and in responses is very crucial and if God is not in what we speak and how it is being spoken, it can bring an immediate termination to the life of a believer. God also spoke concerning communication and this confirms the reason why our communication can make or break us in the journey of life. God responded to Moses when he was looking for a way to avoid answering to GodÕs assignment. Moses gave an excuse to God that he was not eloquent, slow of speech, and slow of tongue (Exodus 4:10). There is no excuse that will stand before God because He alone is the almighty God. He declared to Moses, ÒNow therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you say.Ó(Exodus 3:12) As a believer you are no longer in a position to just open your mouth and say anything. What you say is what will determine what you become. It will never be too much to ask God to be with our mouth everyday before every going and coming. He promised to be with MosesÕ and if you ask, he will do it for you because He said in His word that when we ask, it shall be given. The children of Israel on their way to The Promised Land got themselves stranded forever in the wilderness because their mouths could not be controlled, and as a result they complained, contended for water and their mouth could not be retrained because they do not know what, when and where to say what they have to say. As a result, God responded by sending Moses to the children of Israel in Numbers 14:28-29, ÒSay to them, ÔAs I liveÕ says the LORD, just as you have spoken in my hearing, so I will do unto you: 29 The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered from twenty years old and above.ÕÓ In there complaint they confessed death and death penalty became their portion. Pray daily, that the Lord will be with your mouth and He will teach you always have to say at every juncture of your life.
