WAY TO SEEK HIM< ?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
Luke 13:22-35
ÒAnd He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then one said to Him, ÒLord, are there few who are saved?Ó And He said to them, 24 ÒStrive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you will seek to enter and will not be able.ÓÓ (Luke 13:22-24) As Jesus was going back and forth while on the face of earth in the person of man preaching the gospel, so He has positioned so many that are going back and forth preaching the gospel and introducing the Kingdom of God today. As He was questioned about who is saved and who is not saved, so the same question persists today about who is saved. When Jesus was asked about who is saved, He emphasized that the way of salvation is a narrow way and not the wide and popular way. Also in His response, He emphasized that it is an issue of striving to gain entrance but not of parading or by another means. Jesus also pointed out clearly that many will seek to enter and will not able to. Are you seeking Him through the narrow way or the broad way? The narrow way is the unpopular way while the broad way is the popular way that carries the majority number of people. Seeking Him is not only when going to church is visible and crowded. Seeking Him is not only when we are doing what pleases us or whatever is convenient to do in His commandment. Seeking God is not convenience, but rather a commitment; a covenant. Seeking God is not in following crowds to places of worship no is seeking God only in answering or claiming to be a Christian. How are you seeking Him? If you have been receiving and believing the word of His commandment then you will behave the word. Behaving His word is living the word of God. Determination will fail but the grace of God is the only way to seeking Him indeed and truth. It is not possible to claim seeking God when your ways are not His ways and when all that surrounds you are of the wicked world. Many are claiming to be seeking Him at the time of doing one or another of His commandment instead of His entire commandment. God cannot be deceived nether can any man hide from His presence. The Bible makes it clear the time of seeking and finding Him, ÒSeek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.Ó (Isaiah 55:6-7) Seeing God and finding God are not of the wicked or broad way, but it is of those whose ways are in the light of His word. God will guide and direct if you will desire to walk in the way of seeking Him indeed and in truth.
