CONTIUNITY IS THE RULE
Daniel 6:10-23
After Daniel was reluctantly sentenced to death by the lion’s mouth, the response of King Darius testified to what it takes to be a believer. It is written in Daniel 6:16, “So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”” Evidently, continuity is what it takes to be a believer. Continuity does not quit and it is the evidence of not looking back or looking away from the Almighty creator the only One that is able to turn your negative situation around into a positive one. A believer that continually holds on to trust in the Lord cannot fail. Also a believer that sparingly holds on to God will always get a result that comes sparingly. Daniel was put in the den of lions to spend the night while King Darius lost his sleep all night to see the outcome of Daniel from the den of lions. Early in the morning, king Darius wanted to get result, “And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”(Daniel 6:20) Here the unbelieving King repeated his earlier statement using the word continually. He knew well enough that continuity is what it takes to serve God and become a winner and victorious in perilous and life consuming life challenges. As an acclaimed believer, can you testify to your continuity in serving God? Without doubt, serving God with continuity will serve a believer a consistent deliverance. No man can sow orange and reap guava. God is true to His Word and how you treat the Word of God is how the Word will treat you. Daniel responded to the king, “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”(Daniel 6:22) Daniel served God continually and the Word of God became a manifestation in his life. Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.” Daniel’s continuity did not only deliver Daniel from the den of lions but it also triggered a promotion in the land where he was living as a captive. Do not allow your situation to interfere or dictate how you flow in your continuity in serving God. Understand that continuity in serving God is the rule in the journey of life.
Prayer for today: Lord I ask for the grace of continuity in serving You. Let me not fall for distraction in the name of Jesus.
