FAITH CAPSULE: Do you give Him glory as often as it should be?
Psalm 115, John 11:1- 44
It is grace to see a new day; it is grace to see a new week and it is grace to see a new month. Why not turn away from your challenges and turn aside to God and give Him glory. It is not worthy to constantly and continuously praise God if praising Him is not with understanding. God must be praised with understanding. Praising Him with understanding should be rooted in the heart because He only sees us at heart. Praising with understanding is the kind of praise that inhabits the presence of God. Today, if you will turn unto God with praise, glorifying His name He will give you uncommon attention. He is God that is mindful of His children.
After Lazarus has been confirmed dead, Martha approached Jesus trying to remind Jesus that the power of resurrection is limited to only the last day when she said, “…I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”(John 11:24) Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”(John 11:25-26) Jesus’ statement is a known truth. It does not matter when and what has been pronounced dead in your life your resurrection is not limited to the last day. Jesus paid it all on the Cross of Calvary! All that Jesus asks for is to believe what He has come to offer us. The point here is that God is to be glorified. Right after giving the command to roll the stone at Lazarus grave, “Jesus said to her, ’Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?’ Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying…” (John 11:40-41)
God is to be glorified. Do you give Him glory as often as it should be? To not give Him glory as often as it should be is the evidence to have forgotten Him. Psalmist buttressed stating, “Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver: whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” (Psalm 50:22-23) Understand to glorify Him because of His mercy; understand to glorify Him because of His truth and your challenges will not have reason to mockingly ask, “So where is your God?”
More than ever before, declare this month your month of God’s glory and see Lazarus’ kind of resurrection answered for you every area of life. Give Him glory and testify His goodness!
Prayer for today: Ask God to incline His ear to you and be glorified in your life this month.
