WORD OF GOD IS NOT IDLE

FAITH CAPSULE: The words of God are not idle but the words of God are life.

Deuteronomy 32

In the book of Deuteronomy 32 Moses spoke in the hearing of all the assembly of Israel. The word of Moses also speaks to us today. He stated in Deuteronomy 32:45-47, “When Moses had finished reciting all these words to all Israel, he said to them, ‘Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law.  They are not just idle words for you – they are your life. By them you will live long…” (New International Version-UK) A very important message in the word of Moses as mentioned in the verses above is that, the words of God are life to all man today.
The word of God is Spirit. Jesus stated it clearly,It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”(John 6:63) Are you taking to the word of God by seeing in it?  Moses admonished that the word of God is not just idle.
Word of God is not a letter but life. 2 Corinthians 3:4-6 also confirmed, “And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”
Listen; take to the life in the word of God by seeing in the word of God as it sounds in your direction. Moses, Joshua and Jeremiah are among some in the hand of God that did not see the word as idle. They heard and saw life in the word to move for the glory of God.
Moses does not have any physical prove but the word he saw manifestation. Exodus 7:1 stated, “So the Lord said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.” He saw the word and it was manifested.
Joshua without sight of way but hindrance, he saw in the word of God as stated, And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor.” Joshua saw and received of victory over Jericho’s attempt to hinder Joshua and the Israelites.
For Jerimiah, the word of God sounded, See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:10) Jeremiah saw in the word of God and took charge over nations and kingdoms.
Word of God is not idle. See in the word of God to have life.

Prayer for today: Ask for the grace to be seeing in the word of God that sounds in your direction.
