HIS PROMISES COMES WITH CONDITION Pt. 2

FAITH CAPSULE: God is waiting to act for one who waits for Him.

Isaiah 54

Righteousness before God is among conditions to claim God’s blessing  act for one who waits for Him. Righteousness is doing all that is right and good before God. Peter preached righteousness saying, “But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him” (Acts 10:35) It is clear that without the fear of God, it is not possible to work righteously before God. Without the works of righteousness no one access the blessing of God who acts for man who waits for Him.
Righteousness before God is an undeniable avenue to get the attention of God that waits to act for one. Isaiah 54:14-15 highlight the blessings of walking the ways of righteousness before God stating, “In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed, they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.”
Our righteousness before God is through faith in Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:30 buttressed, “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” When a believer is established in righteousness God is in place to act for man. God also promised in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me.” The blessings of God are in His word while the condition that provokes the blessings of God for man is in His word. Are you working the works of God? Are you walking righteously before God? Working or walking righteously is waiting on God. Wait on God to act on your behalf for His glory. Be righteous before God to activate God’s promise.
REMEMBERING GOD’S WAYS are the testimonies of deliverance and preservation. For one waiting on God by remembering testimonies of God’s ways, shall provoke God to act for one as He promised in His word man. Psalm 119:2-3 testified the importance of remembering God’s ways by stating, “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; they walk in His ways.” God is true to His proven word. Keeping His testimonies to seek Him with heart by walking in His way is essentially waiting on God. It is a blessing to live by God’s condition, provoking God to act for one who waits for Him.
God is the same yesterday and forever. He is God with unconditional love but His blessing comes with condition. God will act for one who wait for Him. Wait on God by rejoicing; working or walking in righteousness and continually remember God’s ways.

Prayer for today: Ask God for the grace of God to give self continually to His word.
